CASA DE JOAO

The Casa de Joao is an establishment with a very pantaneira atmosphere. It is a very well known and popular place for locals and tourists to go out for dinner in Bonito. The large, friendly (and somewhat noisy) room with modern wooden tables is decorated with paintings of Amerindians and sculptures of animals and fish from the Pantanal. The menu is quite extensive, in the local style. The fish are deliciously prepared, like pirarucu or pintado. Next door, a playground for children. A sure value in Bonito.
