The airport in the south of the island offers direct connections to Mauritius and Rodrigues. A duty-free store, car rental service via a telephone kiosk, with no surcharge unlike Roland Garros, and free parking. To get to Saint-Pierre from the airport, count €15 to €20 by cab. Bus line T of the Cars Jaunes network (www.carjaune.re) takes you to Saint-Pierre or Roland Garros (the line serves the whole west coast).

Bus station

Behind the Saint-Louis church and near the Lycée professionnel Victor Schoelcher, you'll find the town's bus station. Recently renovated, the structure includes shops, but also the brand-new branch of Alternéo, the public transport network of the South. Saint-Louis is on the T, S3, S4, S5, O1 and O2 lines of the Cars Jaunes, direct to Saint-Denis and Saint-Pierre. The 60 bus to Cilaos also leaves from here. The station is always bustling with activity... Beware, the place is not recommended in the evening.
