Cave de Valençay is a wine cooperative located in the small village of Valençay, in the Loire Valley. Since 1964, it has brought together the region's winegrowers, who produce sweet, fruity red, white and rosé wines. The winery's vineyards are located at the crossroads of Touraine, Berry and Sologne, offering a terroir rich in viticultural history. At the Laleuf farm, we take care of nature, but especially the bees. Pascal and Sandra, beekeepers, harvest thanks to a cold extraction principle a precious honey 100% natural. In the store on site, you can discover seasonal honeys (spring, wild flowers, buckwheat...), as well as different products: chutneys, jams, "tisamiels", vinegars, gingerbread, and candles. Everything is produced with honey and by their care!

This is a visit not to be missed - especially if snack time is near... Nicole, a gourmet farmer, grows vegetables and fruits in an ecological way, which she then transforms into compotilles, confits, vinegars, jellies, sweets, dried herbs, pesto berrichon, syrups, condiments, apple juice and fresh soups. Nicole's breakfast is definitely worth a stop: she makes pancakes that she serves with dandelion syrup!

Since 1996, Jean-Luc, Patricia and Benjamin Forand have produced farm cheeses from Pouligny-Saint-Pierre, A.O.C., gold medalists. A real delight for goat cheeses! Since 2002, they have wanted to diversify their production by also raising sheep and pigs. Meat is also sold live on the farm. They also make meats. You will also find them on the markets of Le Blanc, Déols and Tournon-Saint-Martin.

Here, we produce of course Gargilesse, hearts of Indre, small goats for the aperitif - the apérobiques (registered trademark) - but also brown or blond Qéops, lingots, p'tits rondins or rustic white cheeses. The cheeses are moulded, salted with white or ashy salt and matured in the cheese dairy's ripening room according to EC standards. Christel and Denis Vandromme raise about a hundred goats organically. They produce cheeses with the Pouligny-Saint-Pierre appellation: pyramid, log, faisselle and small aperitifs. Their products are sold at the farm and at several distributors. On Saturday mornings, you can also find them at the market in Le Blanc. The farmers give tours of their farm: allow about an hour for groups and schoolchildren. A tasting is possible (with a supplement).

The Bel-Air farm, indicated by a large sign at the entrance to Saint-Gaultier (route de Thenay) welcomes you for farm sales. We offer a selection of cow's milk products: whole raw milk cheese, Galtois, cottage cheese, farm cream and fresh milk. It is possible to visit the farm on request. On the markets: Fridays in Saint-Gaultier, Saturdays in Châteauroux and Argenton-sur-Creuse, every other Wednesday in Orsennes.

Eric Degorce has been producing honey since 1990. Located in the Brenne Natural Park. First of all seasonal honeys (creamier and paler in spring, liquid, darker and stronger in early summer, more yellow and creamy at the end of summer). He makes gingerbread, candies, honey chocolates (at Easter and Christmas only). He also makes syrups, vinegar, soaps, mead... You can visit him by appointment and you can also find his products in the shops and at the Maison des Produits Locaux in Pouligny-Saint-Pierre.

Paul Desnoyers' wonderful apiaries produce organic honey. There is, of course, creamy, melting flower honey, amber-coloured acacia honey with a very fine flavour, and stronger mountain honey. Paul Desnoyers also makes mead and gingerbread. The honey is stored in small jars (500 g) or larger ones (1 kg). The honeys can be found in many local shops, as well as in the department's organic shops.

The sale of meat from organic farms is done on order. You will find parcels of heifer, beef, cow and veal meat (Limousin breed), as well as lamb and pork from the Limousin cul-noir breed. For the pork, it is both meat for cutting and cold cuts (black pudding, sausage, pâté). Orders are placed about once a month and are collected from the farm on Thursdays. There are also delivery points, please ask when ordering. Delivery is possible if you are nearby.

Laurent Delrieu, a goatherd and cheese maker, welcomes you to his approved "educational farm" for a tour of the premises. It begins with the discovery of the goats, continues with the making of the cheese from the milking to the art of its maturing and ends with a tasting. The farm sells its mature goat's cheeses - tomme, crottin, log, pyramid - and its old-fashioned fromage blanc. You will also find goat's milk soaps made from 100% artisanal goat's milk.

La Ruche Martin has been producing honey and related products for about thirty years. It is the third generation of beekeepers who are active around the hives today. This company sells not only honey, royal jelly, candies and other by-products, but also all the equipment to become a beekeeper. You will find on the site or in the shop hives, beehives, frames, extractors, pots, labels, beekeeping outfits... Eight varieties of honey are available (spring, forest, acacia, lavender, wild flowers...).

When the gate is open, it's a sign that you can come in for a visit and buy some good cheese. Virginie Brunet offers her goat cheese for sale at the farm. Her small farm consists of 10 dairy goats and a billy goat named Babylone. In the summer, it's nice to be able to see them in the meadow. For children, it is wonderful to discover the goats, their food (corn, alfalfa...) and to taste the traditional good cheese. The Pampille farm produces 8,000 cheeses every year.

La Ferme des Loges offers direct sales at the farm of its farm products: fattened ducks, foies gras, duck breast, confits, chicken, duck and goose rillettes, whole poultry or cooked in preserves as well as capons, turkeys and geese for the holidays. Ferme du Caroire in Azay-le-Ferron invites you into the world of Christophe and Agathe Vandooren, passionate goat farmers. This market gardener is doing reasoned cultivation on a 6,000 m² plot of land at the entrance to Eguzon. He sells his fruit and vegetables in the orchard, as well as plants (vegetables, flowers, trees). You will find for example tomatoes, peppers, courgettes, onions, shallots in summer. In winter, it will be squash, patissons, potimarrons, carrots, potatoes, chestnuts, etc... All year round, he is present at the Orsennes market on Wednesdays and at the Menoux market on Friday mornings.

The petit brennou is a typical goat cheese, cylindrical in shape. Philippe and Chantal Doyelle have been replaced by Jonathan Crogiez, who has taken over their organic goat farm. He raises the same light-necked goat from Berry, an ancient breed. The direct sale of goat cheese is possible every day and an organic market takes place in the yard twice a month.
