FAMILLE MARY

Honey and jam producer
5/5
1 review

It was in 1921 that Famille Mary was born. Jean Mary, a beekeeper by trade, set up his hives in the heart of the Moulin de Beau-Rivage, in the south of Brittany, and sold his honey on the markets. For a century now, the tradition has been passed on from generation to generation, and the family has grown. The brand has spread to Paris where it had six stores at the end of 2022, including this one in the Marais. Wide choice of honeys, of course, in jars or in tanks, organic royal jelly, flower pollen, propolis, sweets, gingerbread, organic cosmetics... In short, you will find here "treasures of the hive" thanks to which you will feel good.

LA MAISON DU MIEL

Honey and jam producer

This institution, created in 1898, is dedicated to honeys from the French regions and from all over the world, some of which are organic. Parisians and tourists come here to taste before approving and, usually, buying. Discovery boxes of 5 jars of 45 g, 125 g or 250 g, or even jars of 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg: the choice is wide and the advice wise. It's up to you to make your selection among the many textures, regions of origin, tastes... Acacia honey would be the most prized of all monofloral honeys... The brand also offers royal jelly, propolis, pollen and other honey-based delicatessen products (sweets, cookies, infusions, vinegars, mustard...).

LA CHAMBRE AUX CONFITURES

Honey and jam producer

Only jams, it was necessary to dare... Lise Bienaimé did it! Formerly a marketing expert at L'Oréal, she preferred to live from her passion, jam. To do so, she called on producers in order to exploit a very wide range according to the seasons. The classic - the traditional orange, apricot or mirabelle plum jams to name but a few - rubs shoulders with the original and the surprising: mango-coconut-white chocolate, banana-passion-ginger, apricot-passion-groseille or rhubarb-geranium. The company is also developing an organic range, which is being expanded over time. Also on display are spreads, honeys, chutneys and other tapenades.

Just jams, that was a daring move... Lise Bienaimé has done it! Formerly a marketing expert at L'Oréal, she chose to make a living from her passion, jam, and worked with producers to develop a wide range of jams according to the season. Many jams are original and surprising, such as mango-coconut-white chocolate, banana-passion-ginger, apricot-passion-groseille or rhubarb-geranium, while others are more classic.
