Founded in 1947, JUMP (Jeunesses Unies Ménilmontant Parmentier) is one of the oldest clubs in the capital. With more than 270 members, it is also one of the most important. The training sessions, by level group, take place in the gymnasium located rue de la Fontaine-au-Roi and are supervised by state-certified teachers to allow all those who do not follow the competition curriculum to improve. The competition holds a very special place here, as many teams play regularly. This does not mean that the leisure dimension is neglected. Indeed, everything is put in place so that everyone finds his or her place. The club brings together a lot of young people and wants to be a real springboard for developing future champions. Without a doubt, one of the best addresses in Paris.

CPS10 (SECTION VOLLEY-BALL)

Volleyball

The section Volleyball of the CPS10 shares same philosophy as the other clubs of the group. Here, all is made so that everyone finds its pleasure, whatever its motivation (leisure or competition). As a result, the atmosphere is particularly friendly and cordial. About forty members find themselves with the gymnasium Jean Verdier (10th) either Tuesday of 20:00 to 22:30 for the practical mixed leisure or every Wednesday evening, at the same hours, for the shutter female competition framed by a professor. A mixed team is committed in the competitions of the F.S.G.T and a female team represents the club for the competitions of the French Federation of Volleyball (F.F.V.B.). To note finally that rates are among the least expensive of the capital and that this club puts social actions of place, in particular by opening with the migrants so that they can slacken while being devoted to a collective sport.

Collective training takes place on Monday (for adults) and on Wednesdays and Saturdays (for young people aged 7 to 17). On the competition side, four adult teams and four youth teams are involved in the tournaments of the French Federation of Table Tennis (F.F.T.T.). KINOMICHI CONTACT ET ÉNERGIE

Combat sports and martial arts

If you are looking for a small, friendly and family-friendly club, it should suit you. It actually brings together a dozen members and is only asking for enlargement. Moreover, unlike many others in Paris, registrations are made throughout the year, which can facilitate your choice. The method taught here is the kinomichi, a branch of aikido put in place by Maître Noro in 1978 and brings together more and more followers over time. Much less martial and violent, this method derives its peculiarities from soft gymnastics while retaining the fundamentals of aikido. The courses, orchestrated by Yavan Oriano, take place at Jean Moulin Gym and take advantage of his thirty years of experience. After classic heating, place ground movements with compression stretched to put the body in condition. These same movements then turn to two in mirror. The 19 movements that form the bases of the kinomichi are finally worked one to one to perfect control. To go further, licensees have the opportunity to do internships. You can see…

SHAOLIN MON

Combat sports and martial arts

The Shaolin Mon Association, chaired by Philippe Saint-Solieux, has been in existence since 1974 and has benefited for over 40 years from the experience of four teachers all masters of their discipline. Here, the 80 adherents follow the so-called Jisey do method, an energy path midway between taï-chi-chuan and qi gong. The two-hour courses take place at the Vaugirard Littré gymnasium (6 th) on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and are structured in two parts. The first part, close to qi gong, therefore mainly energy, begins with breath work and respiration, the first step of progressive meditation. The second part, closer to taï-chi-chuan, involves exercises in broad gestures to facilitate the movement of energy and the work of chakras. Martial martial applications come at the end of the course to give you the essential foundations of self defence. Friday is reserved for an energy dance course whose aim is to learn through different exercises to know his body for, sitting in session, to reach a real liberation, what to liberate from the stress of Parisian life. To achieve these goals, it is advisable to make two trainings per week and to continue daily the lessons learned.

UA CHANTIER

Volleyball

The AU Centre is a small, warm club that lacks ideas or experience. Founded some years ago, it is clearly set for a recreational practice of volleyball. Today, he brings together nearly 50 exclusively adult licensees, all of whom are accustomed to finding themselves on the three club grounds. The competition component is not forgotten. The club actually engages several teams in the French volleyball federation's «leisure» championships. Two joint teams in 4/4 and a male still in 4/4 defend the colours of the AU Workshop in the 2 Regional Championships. The trainings take place at the Sainte-Clotilde gymnasium and are led by Antoine Delorme, also president of the club. Always in this fun-volley logic, they alternate exercises to improve the different techniques and free game sessions. Finally note that the club is participating at the end of each season in a beach volleyball tournament organized in Saint Malo by France's Sports and Cultural Federation (F.S.C.F.).

Here is a place that lends itself perfectly to the art of the bowls! Who believed that this place built in the first century of our era lasted in time until, for us contemporary, a place of leisure as it was at the time? The ground will lend itself to the technical or clumsy gestures of players at any level. The framework will also allow you to spend a pleasant time between friends and rest after (and even before!) a good part. TERRAIN DE PÉTANQUE PLACE DES VOSGES

Petanque

This royal square, where a statue of Louis XIII equestrian statue is celebrated, is a high tourist place because of its historical character. Perfectly geometric, it leaves little room for improvisation… However, a piece of bowls has found its place here! Although the terrain is not particularly favourable to the practice of this sport, it is nice to throw some balls in it. However, if you are here to spend a good time among friends, you can be sure that you can quickly transform yourself into a living postcard! In fact, you will be the perfect target for tourists looking for Paris folk images. If you are wearing a beret and eat a ham-ham, then wait for a fury on foreign social networks!
