LE CARROUSEL DU LOUVRE

Shopping mall
3.7/5
3 reviews

This exceptional place is located inside the Louvre under the cobbled street of Place-Royale and the pyramids summits. La Carrousel offers a prestigious corner to some fifty establishments. This strange shopping center enjoying a unique architecture is a must when you get out of the galleries of the Parisian museum, we settle there for lunch thanks to the offer of the places or walk between the shops' doors for a peaceful shopping. These are mainly high-end shops, but you will also find a souvenir shop of the Louvre as well as a well-stocked bookstore. The setting is really surprising and it is a pleasure to stroll under the reverse pyramid and under the eyes of the many statues on the spot. A perfect introduction or conclusion to the visit of this beautiful and reputed museum!

GALERIES LAFAYETTE

Shopping mall
4.5/5
20 reviews

With its late 19th century façade and its fabulous dome encrusted with stained glass, this department store is an institution in the capital! A favourite of tourists and Parisians alike, the Galeries are spread over several buildings overlooking the Boulevard Haussmann. Three buildings, one of which is dedicated to fashion (designers, haute couture, shoes with a basement entirely dedicated to accessories and perfumery), another to men's fashion and travel, and a last one dedicated to household linen and especially to cooking: Lafayette Maison, which has been a hit since last year since it has been completely redesigned to make room for the ultimate in culinary arts. In the basement, there is a mini-market offering quality fruit and vegetables, and above all a superb delicatessen where you can find everything from truffle cream from the Périgord to the best Canadian maple syrup. You can travel around the world in a few aisles: India, the United States, Italy, Spain, England... On the floors, the best brands of cooking and pastry-making utensils make your eyes glaze over! In the centre of the store, cooking classes are given by chefs. Not far from there, the Lafayette Gourmet cellar allows you to choose a vintage in a dark and cosy setting, while Mariage Frères has elected a counter a few steps away. The ground floor offers the best addresses in Paris for food: Bellota, Petrossian, Christophe Adam's éclair de génie... You can eat on the go (although at a high price) or treat yourself to delicacies.

LE BON MARCHÉ

Shopping mall
4.4/5
9 reviews

A first store was founded in 1838 by the Videau brothers. It was transformed by the Boucicaut a decade later and the first departmental store of the capital was born. Always very popular, this store has become synonymous to luxury and the left bank spirit. Fashion, beauty, decoration and cultures are offered on several levels. The important designers here are: Chloé, Costello Tagliapietra, Dries Van Noten, Jean-Paul Gaultier… and priority is given to chic and expensive shopping. In an ultra-sleek environment with columns, white lamps galore and marble floor as decor, you will discover the best brands of Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, Arrow, Paul & Joe, Prada, Miu Miu, Jil Sander, - designer's space - a Wooyoungmi and APC. Very spacious and sophisticated, Grande Epicerie is devoted to food and invites you to discover the section "USA", "Japan", "Italy" ... The large grocery store alone is worth the detour. Since 2013, a wine merchant section has been open in the basement, while in 2014, the BM redesigned its House Space in a cosy and loft style; the same thing for the bag storage, still a luxury. Several luxury dining areas also await you at BM. An added advantage is the TBM, few days bargains regularly scheduled. A thorough walk through Bon Marché gives a sense of refinement, all the more that the glass 19th-century styly and Art déco window has just been renovated and bath the pathway with natural light. A real winter garden with big trees complete the unit.

BERCY VILLAGE

Shopping mall
4.2/5
9 reviews

On the margins of the old village of Bercy, there was a set of buildings occupied by wine and spirits traders in the 19th century. The precious liquids were shipped via the Seine and partly shipped back by train. Gradually disused, this great tree-lined space has been redesigned. It was partly razed on the side of the omnisport palace in the 70s and reorganized at its other end to make room for a public garden, residential buildings, the French Cinémathèque and this shopping centre established in the rescued cellars. In this beautiful setting, there are shops mainly oriented towards leisure activities and the art of living. The fashion is present as well as signs specialized in wellness and beauty. In case you want to drink and eat something, know that there is something for all tastes: Buffet d'Italie, Chai 33, Hippopotamus, La Compagnie des Crêpes, Le Saint-M', Le Vinea Café, Nicolas (also wine shop), Partie de Campagne, T pour 2 Café, The Frog at Bercy Village. Finally, please note that throughout the year, exhibitions are presented.

CENTRE COMMERCIAL BEAUGRENELLE

Shopping mall
4/5
9 reviews

This is the story of a commercial centre inaugurated in the 1970s and has become completely moribund over the years, to the point of becoming a real desert in the early 2000s. After several years of work and huge investments, the new Beaugrenelle centre was officially inaugurated on October 23, 2013. Located opposite the Seine, it has already welcomed several tens of thousands of visitors, most often impressed by the magnitude of the change. Three times bigger than the old one, dressed with large glass walls and has 110 shops and restaurants, it is divided into three centres: Panoramic, which hosts a large multiplex cinema, a large shop of British origin signing its great return to France, and a dozen restaurants overlooking the Seine. Second centre, Magnétic, which lists all the signs dedicated to the culture and interior of your house. Finally, geographically farther away from the Seine, the City centre is more oriented towards the neighborhood, with many convenience stores. One of the advantages of the site is to offer almost unheard signs in France, such as Hollister, which targets a young and trendy customers, or Marks & Spencer extending over 4,500 m2 and on several levels, including a "foodhall", a typical and unique restaurant.
