LE BON MARCHÉ
A first store was founded in 1838 by the Videau brothers. It was transformed by the Boucicaut a decade later and the first departmental store of the capital was born. Always very popular, this store has become synonymous to luxury and the left bank spirit. Fashion, beauty, decoration and cultures are offered on several levels. The important designers here are: Chloé, Costello Tagliapietra, Dries Van Noten, Jean-Paul Gaultier… and priority is given to chic and expensive shopping. In an ultra-sleek environment with columns, white lamps galore and marble floor as decor, you will discover the best brands of Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, Arrow, Paul & Joe, Prada, Miu Miu, Jil Sander, – designer's space – a Wooyoungmi and APC. Very spacious and sophisticated, Grande Epicerie is devoted to food and invites you to discover the section "USA", "Japan", "Italy" ... The large grocery store alone is worth the detour. Since 2013, a wine merchant section has been open in the basement, while in 2014, the BM redesigned its House Space in a cosy and loft style; the same thing for the bag storage, still a luxury. Several luxury dining areas also await you at BM. An added advantage is the TBM, few days bargains regularly scheduled. A thorough walk through Bon Marché gives a sense of refinement, all the more that the glass 19th-century styly and Art déco window has just been renovated and bath the pathway with natural light. A real winter garden with big trees complete the unit.
