Unique in Belgium, this rotunda sits at the end of a jetty that plunges more than 300 meters into the sea. Built in 1894, destroyed and restored more than once, the jetty is currently being restored to its 1930s appearance. Start with prawns (fresh or in croquette form), continue with Ostend-style plaice or North Sea bouillabaisse, and finish with a soft chocolate fondant, all served in a bright, contemporary room lit by sunshine and hints of orange in the decor (I hear this color whets the appetite).
