The Devil's Chapel, an appellation that inevitably gives envy! Near Mont Noir, a few kilometres from the border, this superb tavern is located. The decoration impresses. Here a huge fresco represents a terribly sexy angel who turns his back on the Malin. There, gargoyles who watch the entrance, gueules wide open. Later, chandeliers come out of the walls, restrained by hands with a strong hand. The atmosphere that reigns here is different from At Jeannot, the café of the corner, you will have understood it! Yet all the ages, all the social environments are found there. We could have believed in an institution that essentially séduirait young people: not even. A solid reputation continues La Chapelle. The map is roast: small ribs, carbonade, stew, famous giant pasta, huge ice creams, etc. Choice in beer, beautiful special coffees. And of course, Belgian prices! An address that we recommend without hesitation!

If you're looking for a safe bet in Ostend, this is it! It's a family-run business that's been going strong for almost 30 years, delighting Ostend residents and visitors in search of authenticity and quality. The menu features classic dishes and specialties, such as the excellent homemade shrimp croquettes, bouillabaisse or the fish platter of the day. The menu also includes seasonal suggestions, oysters and vegetarian options. Note that everything here is homemade, even the ice creams.

Situated in the countryside of Rollegem, 15 minutes drive from the centre of Kortrijk, all the chef's dishes are cooked with quality products. Some even come from the restaurant's own vegetable garden! Guido will make you discover or rediscover the specialties of the region with a lot of passion. On the menu you will find rabbit à l'Orval, duck breast with orange sauce, smoked pork fillet à la Westmalle. On the sweet side, there are classics such as crème brûlée, tiramisu or iced nougat. There is also a bar if you just want to stop here to quench your thirst with a good Belgian beer after a long bike ride.

The'T Hof van de Hemel' has installed its kitchen in one of the oldest houses in the city. First, take the time to admire its facade decorated with pretty homemade ceramics. By pushing the door, no doubt about it: the atmosphere is authentic and friendly like the real Flemish estaminets. The generosity of the owners is the same as that of the proposed kitchen. On the menu? Traditional dishes of the region highlighting the flavour and value of North Sea fish such as shrimp croquettes or bouillabaisse (it is certainly a southern speciality but it is very often cooked in Flanders!). On the menu there are also some pasta recipes, a homemade stew, scampi (with garlic butter of course!) and a sole. But what makes the house special is of course the beer. With a rich menu of more than 100 varieties, fans will not be disappointed! The restaurant has even been an official ambassador for Orval beer since 2016. But above all, it honours local beers such as Sint-Bernardus or De Plukker. And if you can't make your choice, the owners will be happy to help you match your dishes to the best beers. The terrace on sunny days is very nice. A simple and user-friendly address!

Pieter and Salima have set up their restaurant in an old forge. And this authentic and rustic setting gives all its charm to this place full of warmth and conviviality. De Bralle offers a traditional and tasty cuisine. On the menu, you can enjoy a duck breast or a sirloin steak. In the afternoon, the restaurant is also a tea room. Hikers and cyclists will appreciate a little gourmet break. An address much appreciated for its quality cuisine and its conviviality!

Attention cult address! Regulars at 't Werftje are full of praise for this little restaurant, whose history dates back to 1905, when the port of Zeebrugge was founded. The Preem family is at the helm, and has preserved the old-fashioned atmosphere beloved of dockers and fishermen. What's on the menu? Shrimp croquettes, fish soup with rouille and crab salad gun. The chef may advocate simple, unpretentious cooking, but his dishes are nonetheless brilliantly executed.

The fish soup, divine and rich in North Sea fish, the seafood poêlées with lobster sauce are just as famous as the salads, hearty and light in summer, or the croques forestiers, for big eaters, all at low prices. The house's other secret weapon is its fresh crêpes, especially the strawberry crêpes in season, which are bursting at the seams.
