Read moreThe island of Batz can be reached via the port of Roscoff, north of Morlaix in Finistère. To get there by car, take the Rennes-Brest or Nantes-Brest expressway, heading for Morlaix, then Roscoff. You can also take the train to Morlaix, then a bus to Roscoff. The nearest airport is Brest-Guipavas, 60 km from Roscoff. Crossings to Batz Island are operated by the Batz Island launches. Outside this period, timetables vary. We advise you to check with the Batz Island boats for precise timetables. Dogs are also allowed free of charge. Payment can be made by cheque, cash, credit card (only in season) or vacation vouchers. Reservations are not required for private customers. Boarding is at low tide at the end of the pier, a 10-minute walk, and at high tide at Roscoff's old port.

Read moreÎle-Molène offers many places for tourists to visit. Among the main sites is the Molène semaphore, a two-storey display of the daily life and missions of the lookouts. The English Cemetery is a place of remembrance for the victims of the Drummond Castle liner sinking in 1896. The Church of Saint Ronan houses magnificent relics, and the Drummond Castle Museum tells the story of the disaster. The frescoed Roussin shelter recalls the island's history, while the sheltered harbour bears witness to the importance of fishing. The Saint Ronan well, the Beg ar Loued site and the dry stone walls are also interesting places to discover. Finally, the Maison de l'Environnement offers interactive exhibitions on the island's biodiversity and history.
