Since 1795 (seven generations), the patriarchal company produced among the best olive nectars in Spain, its flor of aceite (nectar nectar in the pretty bottle sealed and numbered) is the reference of the brand that exports to Asia, particularly Japan, its main buyer for use in cosmetics. This pioneer Casa de Labranza, with Olive, is visiting with Paco Nuñez de Prado: The pick-up is done by hand, the mill facilities retain a traditional oil mill and a form of storage in the Roman. In addition to the possibility of buying its extra virgin oils in a small shop, the right address allows you to participate, on reservation (at least 20 people), to tasting and delicious thematic meals based, of course, on home productions.

Capricho andaluz, an oil from the hojiblanca variety with herbal notes, or Dominio de la Esperanza, from the picuda variety with intense fruity notes, are just a few examples of the oils offered by the Aceites de Cabra association, which brings together five producers from this municipality where olive trees occupy almost two-thirds of the land (around 18,000 ha out of 23,000). Presented in an attractive black box, they are ideal for garnishing a gourmet basket or giving as a gift to friends, but not without a tasting session beforehand.

Founded in 1963, this former bodega traditionally produces wines with the Montilla-Moriles appellation. If you visit, you'll be able to follow the winemaking and selection processes at every stage, ending, of course, with a tasting. As this winery is something of an institution in the town, it has also set up a small museum with photos and posters tracing its history and that of the grape harvest.

Near San Juan Plaza and not very far from the Casa del Aceite boutique well stocked with olive oils, these artisan cellars, which are, for the most part, authentic, represent a very good solution to provide in Muscat, the Cuvée and small natural wines of the province (in bulk or in bottles from 3,75 €).

It is the lighthouse of Puente Genil in the field of membrillo (quince paste), held today by the fourth generation, dedicated to its production and manufacture. The selection of the best products is done by hand in September. You can find natural membrillo, but also accompanied by nuts or other pieces of fruit, all presented in nice iron boxes representing, for example, Goya paintings and that you can keep after freshly tasted dough.

A very beautiful space to get acquainted with the wines of the region through a circuit that makes you see and understand the different methods of production and conservation according to the type of wine to which we wish to achieve. You can also enjoy wines and buy them in the shop.

In this traditional pastry shop, you can discover and taste the turrolate, a sweetness typical of the region, created in the 17th century. It is a combination of turrón and chocolate, made from cocoa, almonds or peanuts, sugar and cinnamon. If, in ancient times, it was reserved for women who had just given birth, today everyone can enjoy it, by eating it alone or by accompanying it with a slice of bread coated with oil. Normally after that, you're not hungry anymore, but you never know...
