Getting around by boat and ferry Saône-Et-Loire

At the small Verdun-sur-le-Doubs marina, Nathalie is your captain. She'll guide you through the mooring process (first hour free of charge). The harbor master's office has undergone a complete overhaul, with a host of new services, including a renovated and redecorated bar open to all visitors, offering drinks and snacks with a view of the boats and the Doubs. The harbourmaster's office also offers rentals of rosalies (€15 per hour) and kayaks (€20 per two-seater for 1h30).

Chalon-sur-Saône is the place to be if you're just out for a stroll, or if you want to spend a week cruising the canals or the Saône. Many yachtsmen sail up or down the wide river, and enjoy stopping off in the city of Chalon. This pretty port is a haven of peace right in the center of town. Open all year round, it has around 150 berths and a water and electricity supply. Numerous services available at the harbor master's office.

This small marina is the first nautical stopover from Chalon-sur-Saône. Twenty or so berths equipped with electric hook-ups are available. Take the opportunity to stroll along the greenway and discover the surrounding countryside thanks to the bike rental service. On-site tourist information and practical facilities make this a pleasant place to stay all year round. A large play area in the shape of a boat is a welcome addition for families.

Locaboat manages the harbor master's office and offers boats for hire, with or without a license. Twelve mooring rings enable you to make a stopover in the commune of Saint Léger sur Dheun. Three itineraries are available: a weekend in the heart of the Santenay vineyards, an epicurean tour that takes in Louhans and Chalon sur Saône, and a final tour entitled Vieilles pierres et grand cru, which combines the first two in one week.
