VUADOMO WATERFALL
Read moreThis is a pleasant excursion from Savusavu. On the way you can stop off at the viewpoint and the Urata café before reaching the village of Vuadomo. It's easier to visit the waterfalls via a tour operator, as the paths are not always well signposted. Your guide will also take care of the waterfall entrance fees and the sevusevu for the village chief. Not far away, you'll also find hot springs in which you can bathe, but the place isn't very well signposted either.
RAINBOW REEF
Read moreRainbow Reef is one of Fiji's most famous dive sites. Located in the Somosomo Strait, between Taveuni and Vanua Levu, divers can choose either of these 2 islands to discover the Rainbow Reef. Divers of all levels, as well as those who prefer snorkeling , will be delighted with their outings. The coral is magnificent and the marine life rich, and you're sure to spot manta rays, sharks and barracudas. We recommend the following dive sites:
The Zoo: one of Rainbow Re ef's most famous dive sites, and as the name suggests, you'll come across a host of marine animals: manta rays, sharks, barracudas, moray eels and more. It's also a soft coral paradise.
Purple Wall: a surprising dive along a wall up to 60 meters deep, covered in soft corals of purple and pinkish hues. Here, you'll find hard corals and just as many fish.
The Great White Wall: another popular Rainbow Reef site, with a multitude of hard and soft corals. Access to the Great White Wall is via a tunnel with a first exit at a depth of around ten meters and a second exit at around 25 meters.
Yellow Tunnel: here, the corals are yellow and soft, and the depth of the tunnel ranges from 9 to 24 meters. White-tip sharks are a regular sight.
Fish Factory: a magnificent display of marine life featuring turtles, moray eels, sharks and manta rays.
