It's an incredible architectural ensemble: the 35-hectare Pôle Hippique de Saint-Lô boasts unrivalled facilities, including the former national stud farm and several riding arenas. A venue for prestigious events (equestrian shows and exhibitions such as the one dedicated to the Cadre Noir de Saumur in the summer of 2024), it is also a training and apprenticeship centre for lovers of the discipline, whatever their level. The Granville racecourse, located very close to the town, in Bréville-sur-Mer to be precise, is the antechamber of the great trotters of tomorrow: it is indeed on this 1,400-metre grassy track that many future racing champions train. Located at the entrance to the former commune of Beaumont-Hague, the Hague Horse Riding Stadium is a wonderful complex for horse riding enthusiasts, whether they are novices in the field, more experienced, or simply spectators of competitions. The backbone of the complex, the rural horse-riding society, has more than a hundred members who ride and learn on no less than 12 hectares divided into three areas, two sandy and one grassy.

In July and August, the aubaine club set up its summer quarters at the peak of Agon! And there is the passport for freedom and large spaces, for the great pleasure of ponies and horses and cavaliers. Michel Leroty organizes internships during school holidays and prepares for «gallop». The mini-riders can start initiation from 5 years.

The site is ideal for the operation of a horse breeding. About 20 horses and ponies are allowed here in pension or half board, for breeding, training or competition. The quality of the centre, which is also known as the École Français d'Riding Riding, is the preserve and care of animals. By coming here to discover the joys of the horse to your children or to offer you a little walk, perhaps you will be marrying Laurine Liotard, a young hope for equestrian competition. For Sylvain Liotard, the ambition is to meet with 19 new boxes, 11 of which are reserved for competition. The equestrian centre offers horse riding in the dunes and the surrounding area of Port-Leaseback for groups of between 10 and 12 people. From April 2009, you will also be able to take part in half-days of hiking with a meal step.

The Barneville-Carteret equestrian club offers a wide range of horse-related activities: from introductory lessons for the very young, through horse-ball, dressage, show-jumping and trail riding, to advanced training and exams, there's something for everyone. Numerous ponies and horses are available at the club, located 600 m from the sea. The pleasure of riding in the great outdoors is yours, especially on the beach, facing the immensity of the English Channel, in landscapes worthy of postcards.

La Cavalerie de Montchaton is an equestrian tourism center located in Orval sur Sienne. The center offers equestrian activities for the whole family in a friendly atmosphere that respects the well-being of the horses. La Cavalerie de Montchaton accepts payment by bank and postal cheques, vacation vouchers and cash. Parking and sanitary facilities are available. Groups are also welcome. For those wishing to explore the surrounding area, the Pointe d'Agon beach at Agon-Coutainville and the Coudeville-sur-Mer beach are nearby.
