It is a small jewel of the Cotentin Peninsula, which has earned Barfleur regular recognition as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Accessible when the door is open, and therefore depending on the tide, the port of Saint-Vaast has several hundred moorings, including a part reserved for passing yachtsmen, which sail along the superb Cotentin coastline. Ideally located, it is not off-centre, unlike many other ports. As soon as you disembark, you can enjoy the active life of the port directly - and Saint-Vaast's is undeniably so. The second marina in the department after the department of Cherbourg, the Hérel in Granville, has several hundred rings. The Néva network offers free public transportation to avoid traffic congestion in the city and to easily reach various points in the city, and beyond to other places in the community of municipalities. It is a pretty station, typical of the late 19th century... From here, direct connections to Paris leave and arrive via Vire, Flers or Dreux for example. Special feature: from the capital, you take the train at the small station of Vaugirard, itself located in the extension of the Montparnasse station. The other Normandy lines from Paris leave from the Saint-Lazare station. For some years now, the Caen-Rennes line has also been passing through here, and Granville is also connected to the two regional capitals.

It's an attractive airport with well-maintained facilities. As well as offering a wide range of leisure aviation services (the flying club is particularly dynamic), the airport also offers numerous tourist flights to Tenerife, Crete, the Canaries, Croatia... A restaurant, called "Le Tarmac", is located here. Access from Cherbourg is easy: allow around 15 minutes, or a little more when traffic is heavy.
