SAVANNAH'S HISTORIC SQUARES

Street square and neighborhood to visit
4.3/5
3 reviews

These places are one of the characteristics of Savananh. Of the 24 perfectly aligned original places the ones by reports with the others, 22 remain and contribute to create the so particular atmosphere of the city. The missing public gardens disappeared as the transformation from the city. Among them, Calhoun Square is the only one which still preserves all its original buildings.

You walk of place in place to impregnate you places and to observe the notable differences from one campsite to another. Namely that Chippewa Square is the place where the famous scene of the film Forrest Gump was turned where the naive hero its history tells, sitted on a bench, a box of chocolates on the knees. Do not seek the bench in question, it is not there any more.
