Ogeechee Golf Club at The Ford Plantation is a golf club located in Richmond Hill. The club features a 250-acre golf course designed by award-winning Pete Dye. The course is surrounded by freshwater lakes, lush meadows and a picturesque coastline. A special feature of this club is that it does not require a tee time reservation, allowing players to enjoy the course at their convenience. In addition to golf, the club also boasts other facilities, such as a marina that can accommodate yachts up to 65 feet, a 7,000-square-foot historic main house that houses a swimming pool, gardens, living and dining rooms, and well-appointed guest suites. There's also a 7-acre equestrian center with a 22-stall stable, training grounds and 10 miles of equestrian trails. When you arrive here, you are treading on a historic land. Over the centuries, the French, Spanish, English and others have fought for this land. Much later, the Sea Island Company took possession of the land to build a golf course. In 1995, the golf course was inaugurated and quickly found its public to the point of becoming the venue for the Walker Cup in 2001. The anecdote wants even that the president Bush was one of the first players to practice the course! You will have understood, a particularly select course and a real pleasure to play!
