The Giraudon family has had agriculture in its blood for 4 generations. They work the land in Vertaizon, but it is in Clermont-Ferrand, not far from the Place de Jaude, that they have decided to open their shop. In their store, you can find of course their productions of tasty vegetables and fruits, among which their strawberries grown in the open ground or their asparagus. The place also gives pride of place to products from the Massif Central or the Rhone Valley: P'A Cantal sausages, tomatoes from the Bouches du Rhone, 100% Auvergne Mozzarella... Something to enjoy!

There's no question of coming here to be fooled... We'll reassure you right away! At worst, we'll do the leek before we're served, but that's about it. The pear is good, of course, as are apples, salads, grapes and all the fresh fruit and vegetables sold here. As the seasons go by, Fabienne and Stéphane bustle between their crates to serve the ladies and gentlemen who come here to buy what they need for their daily or weekly meals. The products are of the highest quality and come mainly from local producers.

If this does not alarm anyone, the 700 m 2 will have to have almost doubled by the release of the guide. More convenient parking and improved arrangement for easier travel. The butchery has been recently recaptured and offers farm poultry from Auvergne and Landes, fresh game, and recently a catering radius. The fruits and vegetables of the planet underline their freshness at the entrance to the store. Smell these scents during the races is add pleasure. End with cheeses where more than 100 products from here and elsewhere tend to taste their crusts to normally taste, in trays or to ship. Early cheeses (04 73 38 24 24).

For more than 20 years, Auvergne Prim has been providing quality service and products. In the heart of the Halle gourmande Saint-Pierre, the greengrocer welcomes you with colorful stalls of fruits, vegetables and herbs in season. The checkout process can sometimes be a bit tricky, so be warned. Expect a little wait on Saturday morning.

Le Petit Marché de Chamalières has all the makings of a big market! On one side are the fruit and vegetable stalls, on the other the meat and cheese section, and in the middle the preserves, dried goods and groceries. Quality and flavour are the watchwords of the establishment. Just like at the market, conversations flow freely and advice is exchanged between customers and staff alike. In a friendly atmosphere, you can do almost all your shopping. If you're missing a product, there are plenty of other traders on the street.

LE FRUITIER DE BALLAIN'

Market gardeners

It's one of the last places in the heart of town where you can buy fruit and vegetables without going to the market! Here, they're in season and at very affordable prices. Every day, there are new arrivals of fresh produce, mostly French, but there are also a few exotic products. The regulars make no mistake: here, apples, pears, leeks and carrots reconcile us with soups and salads. The store isn't huge, but the stalls outside double its surface area. You'll be able to stock up on fruit and vegetables without burning a hole in your wallet. A creamery section and some local groceries round out your purchases.
