Read moreThe 36 th President of the United States, the Democrat Lyndon Johnson, comes from the region: he was born and died in Stonewall and lived much of his life in Johnson City. This local pride resulted in a national park, which covers two sites. The first is located in the city of Johnson City. In particular, you can see the president's children's home with a guided tour that leaves every half hour at 9 pm.
At Stonewall, 14 miles from there going to Mcsherrystown, the second part of the park, the LBJ Ranch, where the presidential couple lived.

Currently, the museum does not have a permanent space open to the public, but presents its works in rotating exhibitions in public venues around the county. Exhibitions take place in county government buildings and offices, schools, libraries, museums, colleges and universities. The museum currently has over 700 pieces of folk art, and its collection continues to grow. The museum does not purchase art for its collection, but accepts donations from the public.
