Here, in the eponymous hotel, you can choose between a warm bar with wooden decoration and a restaurant with a more traditional charm and a deliciously chic and romantic atmosphere. The latter, which has won numerous awards, offers good, rich international cuisine, but also some traditional specialties. The local products (usually organic) are well worked to realize a nice menu with colorful and rich dishes. A nice terrace in summer too.

La Barbarie has already won several times the award for the best restaurant in Guernsey: it is therefore a safe address. The cuisine is rather inventive and the chef seems to find his inspiration in the local and Mediterranean gastronomy. The variety of the proposed dishes will allow everyone to find his happiness and the lobsters are particularly delicious. It is really well prepared, well presented, and one benefits in more from a very good service. Epicureans, here is an address not to be missed if you pass in this corner of the island.

The Beach Restaurant at the Coco Bay Hotel is a very good, award-winning restaurant with a magnificent view of the sea. On the menu, traditional dishes are always well done: roasted salmon on pea puree and vermouth sauce, large steak and onion confit. Especially during the summer months, shellfish and seafood from the bay are passed directly from the fishermen to the menu of Lars Kloetzer, the restaurant's German-born chef. The restaurant also offers an excellent tea room. The service is always friendly.

Adjacent to the Imperial Hotel to which it also serves as a pub, this nice establishment seems to be nothing less than the last one before the end of the world... And this seems to be the case on this side of the island! We stop there to quench our thirst, to eat simple and well-made dishes, like burgers, nice pieces of meat, pasta dishes or good pizzas. It is also the ideal address to watch from the small terrace the waves crashing on the beach. Everything for a perfect gourmet and exotic break!

The Lobster and Grill is the very good table of the Friquet Hotel. The English and especially the Guernsey cuisine that we find in this establishment is tasty and copious. And if the menu gives pride of place to vegetables from the garden, one goes there especially for the beautiful pieces of beef and, above all, the seafood and the lobster presented in all its forms and emphasized by the talented chef Gabriel Pestana and all his brigade. A beautiful wine list also. This address, much appreciated by the islanders, will delight the most demanding palates.

If you don't know where to go when it's time to put your feet under the table, especially during the low season, here is a golden address. Here, you will find inexpensive and copious dishes, always refined, all to be tasted in a rather classy atmosphere, without being stuffy. On the menu, the ineffable local dishes, accompanied or not according to the season by the soup of the day. In the evening, the 3-course menu is an excellent option.

Right in the heart of downtown St. Peter Port, this tiny store (fully renovated in the fall of 2021) offers coffees, ice cream, milkshakes, and a wide range of sandwiches, paninis, bagels, wraps, salads, and other takeaways for eating on the go. Of course, it's not great gastronomy, but it's fresh and it's pretty good. In short, the ideal address if you want to have a little snack before going for a walk or find something to prepare a good picnic.

In the heart of Saint Sampson, this charming little address offers great sandwiches, toasts and paninis, as well as tasty omelettes, pasta dishes, wraps, salads and a wide range of drinks to quench your thirst at any time of day. For breakfast and afternoon tea, there's also a choice of excellent pastries. Nothing unforgettable, of course, but whether eaten on the premises in the friendly little dining room or to take away, it's more than enough.

In the midst of this "craft attraction", there's also a more than decent café-restaurant. Here, you'll find sandwiches and seafood as starters (fish and French fries with tartar sauce, smoked salmon and lemon cream) or main courses. But also some meat dishes, pizzas, Asian specialties and good burgers. On Sundays, the menu features the old-fashioned roast. You can also stop in for coffee, tea or breakfast, especially on the lovely terrace overlooking Fort Grey.

L'Auberge du Val is a former hotel in the heart of the countryside, which has kept its delicious restaurant open. In a beautiful setting, it offers a menu that perfectly combines English and Mediterranean specialties. Proof of the quality of its offerings, the establishment attracts locals and tourists alike. It's an ideal place to sample the produce of the islands, including the seafood from Guernsey waters and the excellent local meats for which the establishment is renowned. A good address when it's time to sit down to dinner!

An address much appreciated by islanders for the freshness of its produce and its location near the Gouffre, not far from the cliff. Victor Hugo is said to have dined here in 1870. You'll be greeted with a warm welcome and seated at a good wooden table, brightened up in season by a bouquet of flowers. The decor is both rustic and modern. Before or after your meal, you can play pétanque in the garden. Also ideal for dinner or cream tea.

The Kiln is one of those pleasant brasseries serving hearty, well-prepared dishes at lunchtime all year round. The traditional fish and chips, of course, but also burgers, hot sandwiches, good meat or fish pies... And why not finish with a local ice cream! The little extra for families: a pleasant children's play area for a sunny lunch or a quick break.

In the heart of the sumptuous Old Government House hotel, La Brasserie is a chic restaurant that is not out of place in the hotel's other facilities. Here, the atmosphere is relaxed and chic in a light-filled veranda with a lovely view of the peaceful private garden. All this in front of a wonderful French cuisine, always beautifully presented and very refined. We recommend, for the gourmets and the others, the desserts which are absolutely delicious.

Le Nautique is one of the most popular restaurants in Guernsey which, as its name suggests, offers a menu largely dedicated to seafood, with shellfish and fish caught in the waters of the archipelago. Beautiful pieces, deliciously cooked with fresh and organic products by the chef Günter Botzenhardt. And, not to spoil anything, the welcome is as good as the plate, the service impeccable and, a little more, the view on the port of Guernsey is perfect. Nice wine list. Reservation recommended.

Before the arrival of the banks and their services, all stores in Saint-Peter-Port must have looked like this: a takeaway area (a good option for enjoying a treat while strolling along the harbour on a sunny day), a seated area, with wood, teak and, of course, a rather cheap British atmosphere. Yet this is - by far - the best & chips in town. No more, no less. And if you've had enough of the eternal fish & French fries, other no less light options are available: burgers, nuggets, etc.

The welcome is warm and the atmosphere very friendly and relaxed for this "gastronomic pub" which takes place in the magnificent setting of the hotel Les Douvres. An address that is really worth the trip and where you will find local products, international cuisine, but above all copious plates and excellent flambé specialties. The establishment is also famous for its deliciously rustic pizza menu, with excellent homemade dough and seasonal products. Concerts at the hotel bar on Friday nights (7:30 pm).
