Capbreton is one of the few towns where the fish goes directly from the fisherman to the consumer! Every day, depending on the weather conditions, as you stroll along the quay, you will witness the return of the gillnetters, caseyeurs, trollers or the only trawler of the fleet. Gavroche, P'tit Loup, Syrius... At the foot of the harbour master's office, each of the 19 boats has its own sales table, filled with ice flakes. The fishermen deposit, under your eyes, the catch of the day! The surplus is collected by the Saint-Jean-de-Luz/Ciboure auction truck.

All year round, Capbreton's traditional food market welcomes you under the halls on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, and outside (Allées Marines) every Saturday from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. In high season, and more precisely from June 15 to September 15, the market takes place in the Allées Marines on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. For the fish market, visit the George Pompidou wharf at the foot of the harbour master's office every day of the year. In July and August, shopkeepers take over the pedestrian street of General de Gaulle, every Monday and Wednesday evening from 8.30 pm for the night market, but also on Friday evenings with the local and craft market. Not forgetting the gourmet markets held every Wednesday evening from 7 to 10.30 pm. On the menu: tapas, oriental plates, duck breast, cheese, charcuterie...

The traditional market is a must for those who love seasonal and local produce! Here, the market takes place every Friday in Mimizan Bourg (behind the town hall). The covered market is open from Tuesday to Sunday (place du marché). It's a great place to share a few tapas. From June 15 to September 15, the seasonal Thursday morning market attracts onlookers and tourists alike between the Mimizan Intercommunal Tourist Office and the bullring.

While you're in Mont-de-Marsan, don't miss the Saint-Roch food market. It's listed as one of the "100 most beautiful markets in France"! Here, every Tuesday and Saturday morning, the heart of Mont-de-Marsan beats, as does that of Landes gastronomy, represented by numerous local producers. An ode to local produce! It's a great opportunity to stroll around and meet the local producers, who will be delighted to share their passion with you. Tuesday is also the day for the Place des Arènes clothing and footwear market.

The traditional Peyrehohade market has been held on Wednesday mornings since 1358. It's the oldest market in the Landes! Over a hundred local producers, shopkeepers, craftsmen and other hawkers set up their stalls from Place du Sablot to Place Aristide Briand. Start or finish with a pig's trotter tasting in one of the restaurants open early that day. There's also a small food market under the Halles on Saturday mornings, a Wednesday morning "marché au gras" from October to March, and a Gascon day on the Wednesday before the summer holidays.

Les Halles d'Hossegor is an inviting, lively and bustling local shopping area. On the menu: greengrocers, fishmongers, butchers, patisseries, creameries, as well as Italian and Oriental specialties, a cannery, oysters and other local products. In all, there are 17 retailers offering a wide range of quality products! Locals and tourists alike love to drop in and enjoy a glass of wine with some seafood or tapas. Great atmosphere!

Hossegor's traditional market is held in the town center near Les Halles: Wednesdays and Fridays from mid-June to the end of September, and Sundays (until November). The easiest way to find out is to ask at the Tourist Office, or at the reception of your hotel or campsite. They can also tell you about special markets such as Easter, Ascension and Whitsun. Since 2022, the evening craft market has been held on Sundays in July and August. The farmers' market is held in Soorts on Saturday mornings.

Christian Lanuque, breeder of foie gras ducks on the family farm in Poyartin, is at the origin of the "Terres d'Adour" concept. From this land, everything that makes the gastronomy of the South-West is born. Terres d'Adour is a group of farmers, concerned about the quality of their products and respectful of family know-how. Products to be found in the shop in Dax. The Market - Terres d'Adour offers its products 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, thanks to a vending machine.

Beneath its glass frame, wooden framework and zinc roof, Les Halles de Dax is home to some twenty retailers, including Privilège Gascon (South-West produce), Eco-ferme de Téthieu (organic greengrocer), Crèmerie Dacquoise, Cave Dourthe, Experiment'halle (microbrewery) and Maison Lafitte Foie Gras. You'll find a wide range of quality products on offer. There's also a bar-restaurant. And, upstairs, the one and only Fnac in the Landes region, with 900 square meters of sales space.
