VOIE VERTE DE CHALOSSE
Read moreA former railroad line, the Voie verte de Chalosse links the towns of Saint-Sever to Dax, via Hinx, where the track joins the road, as well as Mugron and Montfort-en-Chalosse. The 34 km trail alternates between gravel and surfaced areas, making it suitable for mountain bikes, mountain bikes and walking. The trail starts in the Aulgreilh district, 3 km from Saint-Sever town center. From here, you can take the 10 km Voie verte to the commune of Montaut. Picnic areas are available.

It combines architectural and natural curiosities, particularly at its starting point: the Place des Deux-Eglises. The unusual presence of two juxtaposed religious edifices has made the town famous - a mystery still unexplained... From here, you'll head for the Leyre and its heathery landscapes. Along the way, you'll come across the royal fern, a type of fern that's on the verge of extinction, and pass by some beautiful airials, typical of the Landes region.

Read moreKnown for being the cradle of the lineage of the Albret, which was born Henri IV, the municipality of Labrit offers three marked walks of promenade and maintained by the General Council of Landes, accessible to hikers and cyclists. The smallest, also known as the "Pioc Road", stretches over 6 km, to travel in 30 minutes by bike or 1 hours on foot. She leaves the church to visit the Albret house and the famous castle of Labrit, classified as Historic monument. It then moves away from pine trees or meadows, and connects with traditional landaises houses. The second loop, 9,2 km, is feasible in 45 minutes by bike, while it takes 1 hour to take 11,3 km of the main loop.
