In the hotel is since 2015 the very good restaurant 26 North Restaurant (26north.no), which offers Nordic-inspired menus at lunch and dinner (also a la carte) in a very pleasant setting. The plates are very nicely presented and the products are of good quality, we enjoy ourselves!

Grand Terminus is a hotel since 1928 located in the heart of Bergen. The new owners have breathed new life into this beautiful hotel. The facade, the ground floor lounges and the staircase have been proposed for protection as a historical monument. The former café, with its atmosphere of bygone days, the lounge with its monumental fireplace and solid wood furniture in medieval style. The eponymous bar, where the explorer Amundsen gave his last speech, is famous for its whisky menu. It also offers pizza and other small meals.

Kviknes dates from the late 18th century, when the wealthy European and Norwegian bourgeoisie built second homes in the dragon style. The Kvikne family, who still own the place, took over Balholm in 1877. The Kviknes Hotel is one of the largest wooden buildings in Scandinavia. A beautiful white facade facing the fjord, Swiss style with verandas and galleries forming a real lace of wood. Masterpieces in every room. Delicious soup of the day. We recommend it!

Set in a beautiful fjord landscape in Sandane, Hotel Gloppen was once a coach house, but in 1866 the first accommodation was built here. Expanded in 1921 in a neo-Gothic style made of wood, the hotel has 18 historically decorated rooms, with wooden furniture carved in the dragon style; since 2011, 24 modern rooms, with contemporary Scandinavian design have been added. There are also 20 standard rooms.

Fleischer's dates from 1889. Luxurious, all-wooden and with multiple pointed gables, it is completed by a modern wing. The hotel has been run by the same family for four generations. In the summer, you can enjoy large buffets served between 1 and 2.30 pm. In addition, the menu still offers the great traditional speciality of this fjord region, the Smalahove or grilled sheep's head. The old winter garden and the lounge where the gentlemen used to retire to smoke have been combined to form the bar, which still has the beautiful carved woodwork of the past.
