Want to sail the waves? Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sailor, the Bordeaux-Lac sailing center offers training courses and leisure activities suitable for all ages, from 8 years upwards, accompanied by an adult, or from 16 years upwards on your own. You'll be supervised by qualified instructors. As for the fleet, you'll have a choice of 35 optimists, 20 catamarans (New Cat F2, New Cat 12 and Hobie Cat 16), 60 windsurfing boards, 20 double-handed dinghies, 15 single-handed dinghies...

Aquabike, prenatal aquagym, swimming school and courses, aquaphobia, water jump, restaurant, fitness classes, balneotherapy area... The UCPA Aqua Stadium in Mérignac is a great aquatic and sports destination! While the complex has been designed to control, reduce and optimize water, heating and electricity consumption, it is also a national competition center. With over 100 slots of aquatic and fitness activities supervised by UCPA instructors every week! Take public transport to get there.

Only 3 km from the Aérodrome airfield, you can offer a break at the beach! It is on the beach of Bétey that you will find, on the side of the Arcachon basin, this charming beach where you can find calm, rest and air and ressourçant of the ocean. A relaxing break to make full energy… A sports break in the beautiful days if bathing tries!

In addition to the boat and canoe trips offered by the Maison de la Nature du Bassin d'Arcachon, located at the entrance to the Parc Ornithologique, there is another area dedicated to nature and family leisure activities. This leisure center has over 20 years' experience in welcoming the public. Here (almost) everything is possible: kayak or canoe hire, with a choice of two routes of 10 or 20 km, bike hire for exploring the basin's trails, and guided horseback rides in the forest and along the river (allow 1 hour).

Sailing enthusiasts, welcome to Sport Nautique d'Andernos! The friendly instructors, the trips around the Île aux Oiseaux... are just some of the reasons to try your hand at sailing. Nautical excursions and courses during the school vacations are offered on Optimists from age 6, dinghies from age 8, catamarans from age 10 and windsurfers from age 11. The course comprises 5 sessions of 3 hours each, from Monday to Friday, depending on the tides. Private and group lessons are led by qualified instructors.

Lake City is a leisure base on the road to Le Barp, but it is above all the^first equipped Wakepark in France. Lake City is 100% gliding: wakeboarding, water skiing, paddle... a discovery from the age of 4 years, learning, improvement with adapted equipment and supervised by state certified instructors. A Zen cabin located above the water offers a spa as well as body and facial treatments. Catabas is a specialist in boat rental in Arcachon, offering sailing and motor catamarans for day, weekend or multi-day charter, with or without skipper, for those who have mastered the art of sailing a catamaran and are familiar with the Arcachon basin. Boats can accommodate from 2 to 21 people. Catabas also offers you the opportunity to organize a private cruise for 2h30 or more, including an overnight stay. Romantic for some, more festive for others, for an EVG/EVJF for example...

Little brother of snowboarding in aquatic version, wakeboarding appeared at the end of the 80s. On the water or in the air, you will have a blast! Supervised by Laurent Delacroix, captain of the French team from 1998 to 2000 and coach of the French hopeful team, the Wakelagoona wakeboard school is located in a very nice spot. At Osmosia Wakepark, Tom Gradt, a competitor with a BP Jeps diploma, is in charge of the wakeskate, wakesurf and ski lift sessions.

You can discover the Leyre and its delta without tiring yourself out on a boat called a Galupe. This flat-bottomed boat, once used to transport goods by river in the Landes region, is steered by a boatman using oars and paddles to preserve nature. This guided tour, interpreted and supervised by Guillaume and Yannick, is open to all. Depending on the tides, you'll discover wilderness areas. You can observe the flora and fauna of this river, nicknamed the Little Amazon for its amber color due to iron hydroxide.

Yak'Ocean offers you a wide range of activities to discover the Arcachon basin in complete privacy, including Île aux Oiseaux, cabanes tchanquées, Dune du Pilat, Banc d'Arguin and Lac de Cazaux-Sanguinet (40). The more experienced can hire equipment, while amateurs can try their hand at pirogue trekking or choose one of the environmental walks accompanied by a professional. Yak'Ocean makes a point of tackling the subject of preserving our environment and its fragile balance. Reservations required.

From April to November, the CitySurf shuttle takes you close to the waves from Bordeaux. Managed by surfing professionals, the school has been awarded the "Ecole Française de Surf" label, and accompanies you to the ocean to learn to surf or improve your skills. You can find the team at the Boardriders store or directly at the Garonne beach in Cap-Ferret, where lessons are given every weekend during the same period. The school is open to everyone aged 7 and over. There are also courses and surf camps with accommodation in the Basque Country and Portugal.

The Leyre, sometimes referred to as the "little Amazon", lends itself wonderfully to a trip on the water. Amazone Canoë offers full-day and half-day tours. Nathaniel will take you up the river to its delta. Discover the wild flora and fauna of the area and let yourself glide downstream. Other walks: the Canal des Landes, Ile aux Oiseaux, Banc d'Arguin... Possibility of multi-day outings (from two to five days) from Sabre to Le Teich, a distance of 90 kilometers. The Leyre is a veritable biological conservatory, home to remarkable and original flora and fauna. Courant d'Eyre offers a wide range of canoeing and kayaking activities on the Little Amazon, including full-day, half-day, morning and afternoon trips. Sailing time (excluding shuttle and breaks) is around 2 hours for a half-day and 4h30 for a full day. Courant d'Eyre also rents out paddles. Think of it for a birthday party or a stag/hen party. New for 2023: an escape game for children.

Introducing the little ones to swimming and entertaining them on the beach is the mission of Club La Vigne, which offers supervised lessons and games for children up to 18 years of age. These are held on the beach, for a half-day ticket. Children who swim like fish in water can improve their skills and take swimming certificates, while younger children can take introductory swimming lessons. Evening activities, bike rides, sports tournaments... And for adults? Boat trips to the Dune du Pilat, CrossFit and gymnastics.

The school offers surfing and bodyboarding lessons for groups and individuals. Several formulas are available, such as day, week (two-hour classes per day for two, three, four or five days) or courses between April and October. Rates include insurance, loan of equipment, theoretical and practical lessons. The shop also has a large choice of boards of all kinds and sizes.

When you arrive in Montalivet by the coast, you often have the surprise of seeing sails moving fast on the beach. A mirage? No, voile tanks and speed-sails, the practice of which is open to everyone, through introductory days or developmental courses, to practice these sports for a weekend or holiday. Also surfing, archery, tractive wing initiation and additional activities - including kayaking - in summer with CAP 33 association.

Near the Allumettes museum, the Fontet water sports center is a leisure center where you can come to refresh yourself in the summertime, in the shade of the wooded park while enjoying the supervised swimming in July and August. Children's games are available as well as a refreshment stand and a restaurant open in summer. A picnic area with barbecue is available on the site. Canoeing or rowing on the canal, archery, walks along the towpath, fishing... The small marina with its two mooring pontoons has a vacation feel to it.

Fancy a canoe trip on the Dordogne? If so, don't hesitate to make an appointment with Canoë Castillonnais by phone or on Facebook. The company offers two routes of 6 to 12 km, departing from Lamothe-Montravel and Pessac-sur-Dordogne. Allow around 1h30 for the first route and 3h for the second. Meet at Les Batailleurs campsite! Departures are possible in the morning or afternoon. This is a great activity for two, family or friends. Reservations recommended!

Want to feel like a real pirate? Come and sail on the dreaded Magdeleine lake and become a captain like the famous Blackbeard. Small unsinkable electric boats with black flags guide you on the waves. They can accommodate three sailors and a captain. Little pirates over 9 years old can even pilot their own ship! Life jackets are of course provided on site. After the treasure hunt, the pirate tavern offers waffles, ice cream and hot or cold drinks.

Young and adults swimming lessons, small supervisors (3 to 5 years), sports swimming clubs, gym, diving, swimming, swimming with palm trees… Andernos offers us only a local swimming pool, but more! It is covered, heated and above all has a sea water pool! We think this is true, especially since it has a glass bay that directly overlooks the Arcachon basin. At the Cheeky Family, surfing is above all a question of passion. Located on the south beach, the school, supervised by Dimitri, a Canulais for 25 years and surfing instructor for 15 years, offers lessons for all levels and all ages. The coaching and learning are done in the water, with the instructor always at your side. Here, there are no fixed hours for the lessons, everything is done according to the tide times, the ocean conditions, and the level of each person. Closed since 2014, the Galin swimming pool has (finally) found its swimmers and splashers! The cabins have been replaced, the pool linings changed, the facades reworked, the exterior concrete treated and the roof refurbished... The Galin pool, which has been awarded the " Remarkable contemporary architecture of the ^20th century" label, boasts a number of new features designed to enhance user comfort, including the creation of a planted outdoor deck, water games for children, a 50 m² paddling pool and a fitness room.

Completely renovated in 2007, this swimming pool is located in the Grand Parc-Chartrons-Paul Doumer district. It has been designed to comply with HQE (High Environmental Quality) standards, in the choice of materials used for its implementation and in terms of energy and water management. The pool water is heated by solar panels on the roof and treated by an ultraviolet system that dechlorinates it. A forecourt was created following the demolition of its main façade. The first swimming pool in the region to be equipped with a surveillance assistance system to prevent drowning, it is equipped with cameras that monitor the behaviour of swimmers, a 25-metre pool with 8 lanes, a learning pool with a counter-current river and a paddling pool with a playground. The outside area is a green area for sunbathing and sunbathing. Please note that during the short school holidays, the schedules are different. The swimming pool has the Tourism and Handicap label.

Created by Sophie Begin, the manager of Bécalou canoe-kayak, Arès Kayak Nature is an environmental awareness association whose aim is to help you discover the local biodiversity of the Parc Naturel Marin du Bassin d'Arcachon and the surrounding area... in a rabaska! This "big canoe" is ideal for those who don't want to get too wet. You'll be guided along the water by an enthusiastic expert in this natural environment. On the banks of the Dordogne, a Unesco World Heritage river, Pelouse Plage is a recently opened bathing area accessible to all, including people with reduced mobility. There's also a sandbank for children to build their own constructions. The site is well equipped for families with baby carriages. Swimming is supervised in season, and there are floating inflatables to keep both young and old amused. Feeling a little thirsty? Don't hesitate to visit the bar at Les Batailleurs campsite.

Discover the Arcachon basin in a different way, it's possible! Moreover, if you like strong sensations, you will be served. Dolphin Jet School offers you jet ski rental without a license from 16 years old, jet ski tours with a certified instructor, but also Sea Doo scooters of the latest generation equipped with silent 4-stroke engines and certified Very Low Emission, buoys, wake-boards or boats with a compulsory coastal license. Summer and winter alike, Spadium welcomes you in water at 29°C. A 25-metre sports pool, a fun learning pool, a paddling pool, whirlpools and a large slide: nothing has been forgotten! There's even a solarium and outdoor towel area. Last but not least, Spadium also features two spas, a relaxation room, a sauna and a hammam. Numerous activities are on offer, from aquagym to learning for children and adults. The beauty center is open from Tuesday to Saturday.

The Castillon Rowing Club is open to all (young people, adults, beginners, competitors, etc.). The club is ideally located on the banks of the Dordogne, next to the Castillon stone bridge. The team of dedicated volunteers will be happy to give you all the advice you need to enjoy rowing to your heart's content. The club is equipped with numerous boats, a weight room and a rowing tank. There's also a beautiful hall with a view over the Dordogne, where you can meet, drink coffee and share good times. Quite simply!
