The Fédération Française de Randonneurs Équestres (FREF) offers training and certification for riders, as well as membership licenses that give access to trail riding and equestrian leisure activities. Members also benefit from discounts at affiliated riding schools. FREF is affiliated to the FSGT, a multi-sports federation, which enables members to take part in other leisure activities. Associations can also join FREF/FSGT and benefit from third-party liability insurance for their activities. Equestrian tourism professionals can join FREF and issue individual rider licenses.
