Closed since 2014, the Galin swimming pool has (finally) found its swimmers and splashers! The cabins have been replaced, the pool linings changed, the facades reworked, the exterior concrete treated and the roof refurbished... The Galin pool, which has been awarded the " Remarkable contemporary architecture of the ^20th century" label, boasts a number of new features designed to enhance user comfort, including the creation of a planted outdoor deck, water games for children, a 50 m² paddling pool and a fitness room.

Completely renovated in 2007, this swimming pool is located in the Grand Parc-Chartrons-Paul Doumer district. It has been designed to comply with HQE (High Environmental Quality) standards, in the choice of materials used for its implementation and in terms of energy and water management. The pool water is heated by solar panels on the roof and treated by an ultraviolet system that dechlorinates it. A forecourt was created following the demolition of its main façade. The first swimming pool in the region to be equipped with a surveillance assistance system to prevent drowning, it is equipped with cameras that monitor the behaviour of swimmers, a 25-metre pool with 8 lanes, a learning pool with a counter-current river and a paddling pool with a playground. Soulac-sur-Mer is home to the Soulac-La Runde airfield, a civilian airfield open to the public. The airfield is mainly used for leisure and tourism activities. It is managed by the Soulac-sur-Mer town council. The airfield has a fleet of aircraft including models such as the Diamond Star DA 40 TDI 135 CV, the Robin DR400-150CV and the Cessna F 172 M. These aircraft are used for introductory flights, first flights and trips. Visitors can enjoy a 30-minute flight to discover Soulac-sur-Mer, Le Verdon, the Gironde estuary and the Cordouan lighthouse. Then on to Artigues, Le Pouyalet and Anseillan, towards the Trompeloup area, before returning to the starting point.
