The Dunkirk conurbation is crossed by 53 km of the Eurovéloroute^no. 4. On this section, you can make several beautiful walks in Grand-Fort-Philippe or connect the Galamé Park of Loon-Plage to the lake of Puythouck. The longest section is the one from the town hall of Bray-Dunes to Rosendaël. On this nice and safe track, you will ride along the coast from Bray-Dunes to Leffrinckoucke and its maritime landscapes.

Born on the beaches of the Opal Coast in 2006, the longe-côte is a sport that looks simple, and yet expect a dynamic practice in the North Sea which is rarely calm! The association provides the equipment to make you discover the joys and benefits of walking in the sea, in any season! Other activities are proposed by the association, such as finboard, longeball, aquaphilia or aquatrail. New sensations in perspective!

The sailing school welcomes every year students of all ages and levels. The program on the 45-hectare lake includes windsurfing, catamaran, optimist and funboat for children, hansa for people with reduced mobility, stand-up paddle and giant paddle. Last novelty for the amateurs of even stronger sensations: the possibility of discovering the wing foil and the wind foil. Private lessons and training courses are offered during the week and on weekends, supervised by very educational instructors.

With 25,000 m² of sports facilities, Sportica is the largest leisure complex north of Paris. Its areas include: a swimming pool with a 90 m slide, an inflatable water structure, a paddling pool, saunas, a roller skating track, a bowling alley, a cinema and a brasserie-pizzeria. The packages, 100% leisure or 100% activities, allow you to fully enjoy a day at Sportica! On the spot, the restaurant and the collective accommodation allow the reception of sports training courses, tourist stays..

Loisi Flandres is a leisure complex where you will find five activities to do with family, friends or colleagues: bowling, karting, laser game, mini-golf and billiards. Children (up to 13 years old) are not left out since a 1,200 m² covered play area is reserved for them. With a slide, ball pool and rock climbing, there is plenty to do. The new Michel Raffoux ice rink opened its doors in 2019. Now located right on the harbor, the facility boasts a 1,800 m² Olympic-size rink! On ice hockey match days, the 1,400 spectators cheer on the Dunkirk team. For more relaxation than sport, a second 800 m² rink offers a beautiful view of the Halle aux Sucres. And as comfort always comes after effort, you can enjoy a snack in the ultra-modern cafeteria.

The municipal music school in Armentières offers adapted music courses for everyone from the age of 3. The school has around 300 students each year and 22 teachers. From ages 3 to 6, the youngest can take part in the Musical Garden, which will help them open up to music through games, songs and dances. From CE1 onwards, teaching includes Musical Training (solfeggio), Instrumental Training and group practice. Adults can also begin or resume musical training. Musical events are organized throughout the year, including auditions and concerts. The school also runs awareness-raising activities for schoolchildren.

The base of Prés Prés extends in total over 120 ha. It comprises a lake of 44 hectares of land, suitable for all water amusement, river port and many facilities. Lovers of walks especially appreciate the network of roads, one of which is entirely surrounding the lake - a 40 minute walk! In passing, a visit to the ornithological park where 200 migratory or resident bird species coexist with the possibility of interfering in their privacy from observatories. A beach for tanning and a multitude of activities planned for the day to pass without realising: mini-golf, educational farm and children's village, pedal boats, boat walks with a guide, a tour of smugglers - a game with a gift at the end, a walk and a go train. Fishing, on the other hand, is strictly prohibited, but it is very rare to get bored on the edge of the largest inland water centre in France.

The Calyssia pool is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the pleasures of water. The 25 meter pool is perfect for swimming laps and the pool is more fun with a slide, a river against the current, a bubble bench... Enjoy several aquagym activities, different levels are offered, and for the youngest: aquafun and baby swimmers. As for well-being, two sauna cabins make this place a place of absolute tranquility and plenitude.

In the heart of Flanders, criss-cross the cultural and architectural heritage of Bailleul, starting with Hôtel de Ville as well as a carillon Beffroy. You will cross the Leroy square where you can cross, proudly, the bust of the first woman elected to the French Academy, Marguerite Yourcenar. On a different theme, comtemplez the medieval appearance of the water tower, both keep and the city. An advice: be careful and raise your eyes, as Bailleul abounds in small architectural gems. Watch in particular the façades of the houses!

You want to discover Bourbourg and its surroundings? Nothing better than to follow the walking tour of the Quathove. Start your walk in front of the tourist office and walk through the small streets of the city. Pass by the turret of the Withof, an old farmhouse that was once part of the destroyed castle. On your way, you will see the mountain of Watten and you will walk through the countryside surrounded by wateringues, this network of ditches created to drain the marshes and evacuate the water towards the sea. A nice walk between city and greenery!

At the Clos Fleuri water sports base, it is possible to practice a wide variety of water sports in complete safety and in a friendly atmosphere, in the natural setting of the northernmost seaside resort in France! Kitesurfing, sand yachting, windsurfing, funboat, stand-up paddle, kayak... Available for simple rental, these equipments are also to be discovered during training courses. Enjoy the double sides of this hike between dunes and macadam. With wild air along the Parrot dune, where it makes good breathing and admiring the fauna and flora that thrives there. After reaching the calvaire of the missing sailors, let us take a few moments to enjoy a wonderful view to the Naturelle nature reserve, before going down to the city. Typically associated with the seaside, these are half-timbered houses with blue and white shades that one admire on the streets of Bray-Dunes.

For those who do not know the Longe-Côte, it is a promenade in the sea with a paddle. A rather sporting discipline, very well-known to the general public but which allows to combine physical exercise and discovery. The club of Bray-Dunes offers this kind of walks throughout the year, enough to explore the landscapes of the coast. A different way to visit this part of the region, leaving you beautiful souvenirs and perhaps some aches also!

Located near the beach, the mini-golf of Bray-Dunes offers the possibility to reconnect with the pleasure of playing mini-golf. Bray-Dunes chose to restore it in 2018 and the success was not long in coming. The tracks of this 18-hole course have been renovated, the environment is wooded and pleasant and especially protected from the wind. Other activities are offered on site: tennis, padel, ping-pong, beach volleyball ... A good plan for the days when it blows or when the weather is gloomy... A good idea to spend a pleasant moment with family or friends!

The Nautical Base hosts the sailing school and the Dunkerque nautical associations, in particular the kitesurfing and longe-côte club. It is located between Malo and Leffrinckoucke, on the edge of the Parc du Vent. At the Base de la Licorne, you can try your hand at sand yachting or kitesurfing, windsurfing, catamaran, giant paddle... Young freshwater sailor or sea wolf, there is something for all ages (from 14 years old) thanks to the formulas proposed by the cruising school of the Centre régional de Voile Pascal-Leys. The choice of activities and formulas are numerous and you will always be accompanied by a professional skipper who will guide you in this discovery of sailing. This centre also allows you to participate in training for competitions, regattas and safety courses at sea.

We know the carnival and its capitalized streets, but what about all these people disguised? You are offered a walk through the history of the city and the Dunkerquois heroes. On 2.5 or 6 km, browse the pavements where many buildings are erected. The departure goes back to the port museum, from where you will already see the three Duchess Anne. Then the heritage goes: the Leughenaerest Tower, the Saint-Éloi church with the tomb of Jean Bart, famous privateer under Louis XIV triumphant the battle of Texel… We cannot quote everything, then on the way!

With the establishment of the Loisirs Éole program, Dunkirk is a city resolutely focused on families and leisure tourism. This is a particularity of the beaches of Dunkerque and of the art of living in Dunkerque. The coastline has 180 beach huts for rent, which are in great demand in summer. They can be booked the rest of the season, at the tourist office of Dunkerque Plage, place du Centenaire, by the week. There are 11 types of them, with different shapes, colors and illustrations. It's not just a shed where you store your parasol, balloons or windbreakers. We meet there to have a drink, admire the sunset... Not to be missed!
