The association Mer et Rencontres is a sand yacht school affiliated to the French Sailing Federation. It offers all year long sessions of sand yachting in the form of a 2-hour initiation (from 12 years old) or weekly courses (from 8 years old and during school vacations). The sessions are supervised by state-qualified instructors. They welcome all types of people (individuals, schools, associations, groups...). A good idea to do sports in the open air and enjoy the great beaches of the North!

Four Season Bikes offers electric bikes and fat bikes for rent (but also for sale!). These fat bikes can be ridden in the forest, on hard sand or on the road in all seasons! With a range of 100 km, they can reach 25 km/h. Without fear of a headwind, you can imagine a Dunkirk-La Panne trip without any worries. The shop also offers a follow bike for children under 12 years old. For advice, Virginie and Stéphane will be there to explain everything to you if you need it.

This 9 km long circuit, which takes a good two hours to complete, offers you a nice breath of fresh air. From Gravelines, walk along the river Aa via the Chenal dike to the beach of Petit-Fort-Philippe and its lighthouse, which you can visit in the afternoon. Then take the road again to find yourself in the Polder Park. A short tour through the green belt around the walled city and you are back at the starting point.

Gravelines is the third largest marina on the Opal Coast. A former fishing and trading port, it has 450 berths divided into three distinct sites. Firstly, the Bassin Vauban, the largest site, with 220 berths, of which around 40 are reserved for visitors. Then the Quai des Islandais, with 152 moorings lined up on floating pontoons. The third, Anse des Espagnols, close to the Petit-Fort-Philippe lighthouse, has 78 moorings.

Discover the fortifications of Gravelines. The city was first fortified by the Dukes of Burgundy and the Kings of Spain. Its enclosure has corner bastions covered by a system of half-moons, deep ditches and counterguards. Vauban will slightly rework the structure of the fortress in the ^17th century. During your visit, don't forget to stop in the gardens and to take some time at the belvedere to admire the view.

The nautical base, located in the countryside in a bucolic setting, is managed by the Community of Communes Flanders Lys. It offers visitors the possibility of renting several boats with 4 to 11 seats, from one hour to one day. One of the boats is even equipped with a central barbecue for lunches along the water. Among the activities: canoeing, pedal boats, stand up paddle. Available for rent: electric bikes and mountain bikes with maps of the routes. A great address.

Here, the dog is king! The Domaine de Mi-Loup was created in 2016 by Michel Labouré, a canine enthusiast who has been racing sled dogs since 1989! So when it comes to dogs, he knows a thing or two. Cani-marche, a ride on a sled pulled by 14 dogs, immersion in the midst of a pack of 50 huskies... Activities to delight young and old alike. But that's not all: the Domaine also welcomes our best friends for boarding. And if you're dreaming of taking a doggie home with you, you should know that the Domaine is also a kennel.

It is a philanthropic association combining tradition and altruism that organizes the Giants'outings during the holidays. Profits are used to help the poorest. The five giants of the commune therefore work for the good cause, already that they remain at the municipal museum all year round. The feast of the Friends of Tisje-Tasje is held on the first weekend of July, the occasion to prove that tradition can still be continued today. Tisje-Tasje is the name of the main giant of the commune, representing Jean-Baptiste Vangrevelinghe - th century. He was a writer and poet and became one of the most ardent local artists of Flanders. His Giant, Tisje-Tasje, dates back to 1947. Toria is the wife of Tisje-Tasje, created in 1960 by the Couple couple already at the origin of the first Giant. It is more a representation of Flemish women than a wife of Jean-Baptiste Vangrevelinghe, who was married twice. On the other hand, their children, Babe Tisje and Zoon Tisje, came from Jean-Baptiste: A girl, born in 1980 wearing a hare in her basket and a boy, the spirit of the Flemish Party, waffle and reel. Roland d'Hazebrouck is a separate case. He represents a seigneur of the th century and has also become one of the region's emblematic giants. It dates from 1931 but differs from the family by its motor vehicle: it is towed and not worn, it is also for this reason that it leaves only twice in the year, in half-lent and at the Giants Carnival.

Located between the cities of Leffrinckoucke and Zuydcoote, the Dewulf Dune covers about 300 hectares and is part of the dunes protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral since 1987. A mixture of wooded dunes, wetlands and dry dunes, it is home to nearly 70 species of nesting birds, several species of amphibians and 350 species of trees and plants. You will probably come across sheep and goats, which maintain the dune in an ecological way.

The Rose des Vents equestrian farm offers a multitude of activities, for adults and children, beginners and advanced riders, from simple introductory courses to competition outings, including driving courses, rides, rallies, parades... Lovers of nature, animals,come and walk to the rhythm of the horses' steps in a warm and family atmosphere, through a green and hilly countryside.

Located not far from the city center of Wormhout, the "Etang des tTois sources" is an ideal place to go and fish for gudgeon or trout (in a very regulated environment). This leisure center, located in the grounds of an old farm, also offers a few walking paths and picnic tables to eat, whether alone or with the family. Note that the place is also perfect to learn about astronomy and try to catch a star in the sky!

This sport consists in going along sandy beaches by walking in the water, sometimes with the help of a paddle or means of propulsion attached to the forearms: it is the longe up. A playful and dynamic way to discover the most beautiful landscapes of the Dunes of Flanders. But be careful, this sport requires attention and supervision to avoid any inconvenience! This activity has many benefits: soft, you lose the notion of body weight thanks to the water and it is not violent for the joints. This walk is therefore suitable for all ages.
