Discover the fortifications of Gravelines. The city was first fortified by the Dukes of Burgundy and the Kings of Spain. Its enclosure has corner bastions covered by a system of half-moons, deep ditches and counterguards. Vauban will slightly rework the structure of the fortress in the 17th century. During your visit, don't forget to stop in the gardens and to take some time at the belvedere to admire the view.
