Camel racing is part of the country's heritage and is very popular with the royal families and the emirates. Today, robot jockeys have replaced the children who once rode the camels. The owner follows the race in a car on a circuit parallel to the camelodrome and controls either the whip or the tension of the reins from a distance. To attend, don't look for the schedule, it doesn't exist! Go early in the morning on Fridays between November and March!

The club, located on the waterfront, offers water skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, windsurfing, wakeboarding, and boat trips for fishing. This beach is one of the best wakeboarding spots in the country. The equipment is safe, and there are even lessons for children. A swimming pool with a children's corner and a restaurant complete the offer. It is also a certified centre that welcomes many school groups.

Perhaps the most memorable adventure you can have in UAQ, crabbing is a reason in itself to visit the emirate. At nightfall, with a bathing suit on and proper footwear, the boat will take you to the nearby mangroves where you will fish for crabs. You will be provided with all the necessary equipment to catch them, as there is no question of coming back empty-handed since once back at the Flamingo Hotel, everyone's catch will be cooked and served at the buffet dinner included in the package. Those who are not staying at the hotel can join in.

The water sports centre is located on this beautiful white sandy beach, with a beach club of the same name and a restaurant. A few wooden huts give a lot of style to this centre which welcomes water sports lovers. The beach is known for its waves during gales and wakeboarding lovers will be delighted.
