The walls are decorated with old farming tools and the menu includes tasty dishes such as baccalà alla vicentina (codfish with milk), rabbit with herbs and cheese cooked with mushrooms. A special mention for the polenta that reigns in a good part of the dishes, to be enjoyed with cheese, meat or even snails. Charcuterie, cheese and desserts will not leave you indifferent either.

An address with a quite impersonal decor but where the pizzas are varied and delicate (thin dough and easy to digest: gluten-free option for intolerants). You can also try other dishes, such as the Schiz alla Bellunese, a specialty of fresh cheese, typical of the province of Belluno, which is cooked in a frying pan with butter and salt. The taste is not very strong but it is still an interesting discovery! You can also try spaghetti with seafood or a salted strudel with red radish from Treviso.

You would think you were in a tale of Tolkien, but it is actually reality: at the end of the promenade leads to a small clearing where is a former mill now brasserie. Meat and fish dishes, but it is mainly the setting that is worth the detour.

The hotel's eponymous restaurant serves elegantly prepared and presented local cuisine, which is lighter than grandmother's recipes while retaining a beautiful local flavour. Perfect to try out speciality dishes such as zip-line canederli (large balls of bread combined with milk, eggs, speck, cheese, spinach) or apple strudel. Excellent gourmet coffee. The decoration is quite unexpected: it is certainly a mountain chalet, but as its name suggests, it is decorated in a nod to American westerns.

A rather rare address in Cortina, and above all a practical and inexpensive stop for a snack in the heart of the resort. In this unpretentious and well-located shop, pizzas are prepared to take away, even if, in summer and winter, a few small outdoor and indoor tables also allow you to sit on the terrace to enjoy your share on the spot. Nothing to say about the quality. The pizzas have a thin and crunchy dough, the toppings are generous, with a choice of tomatoes, mozzarella, mushrooms, salami, peppers and ricotta, among others.

Contrary to what its name suggests, this restaurant is not located at the Pordoi Pass, but in the heart of the village of Arabba. This mountain inn and restaurant with geraniums on the balconies and wainscoting everywhere is renowned for its excellent regional cuisine at reasonable prices. There are specialities with nettle, speck from the Alto Adige and other specialities in sauce that keep body and soul together with the cold. There are also excellent pizzas.

In the city center, here is Il Vizietto, a good restaurant that manages to bring together in the plate local products that, a priori, were not necessarily programmed to meet in the kitchen. Most of the dishes cultivate the pluralism of flavors, like the local sausage with a Mediterranean risotto, the lamb chops with red fruits or the tuna tartar with burrata. Speaking of cheese, cheesecake is a hit for dessert. Also try the chocolate fondant, a real treat.

It's one of the best tables in town. If the room is not very bright and the mountain chalet decoration is inevitably a bit kitsch, the plate is delicious and copious and the service is impeccable. A la carte, Venetian specialities adapted to the season. Special mention for the tasty sliced beef and its red fruit sauce. The house speciality remains nevertheless the grilled meat, minimum 500 grams all the same! The wine list matches the dishes and offers a large choice of Italian vintages. The homemade desserts are also tempting.

Both restaurant and bar, it is the living heart of Arabba where people come to eat and drink at all hours. For they are the only kitchens open non-stop (limited to pizzas outside meal times), very convenient at the time of closing time. We tasted a delicious Capricciosa pizza. Warm and friendly welcome by a smiling and jovial team. Mountain atmosphere with local TV, music a little too loud in the background (you have to speak loudly to discuss) and mischievous old men at the counter.
