According to their "Nature et progrès" specifications, the vines and olive trees do not receive any chemical treatment, insecticide or herbicide, and this since 1975! A semi green manure and a compost of sheep manure constitute the soil amendment where copper and sulphur protect the vegetation. It's hard to imagine anything healthier. On the spot, you can walk between vineyards and olive trees thanks to a signposted route starting from the mas. Very bucolic...

If the 30 hectares of vineyards of the Costebonne estate are located in Eygalières, the family also owns 13 hectares in Orgon (Val de l'Oule estate) and 24 hectares in Saint-Rémy (mas de Longchamp). Three domains, three appellations: AOC Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, IGP Alpilles, and vin de Pays des Alpilles. You can find them at the Cave de Longchamp.

Today, Mas Sainte-Berthe produces red, rosé and white. The vineyard is conducted in a reasoned and reasonable fight. Among the treasures kept at the right temperature: Burgundy, Bordeaux, Mouron, Mouton Rothschild... wines that can be chilled in five minutes thanks to special equipment.

Read moreAfter more than a decade of work, the Domaine de Lauzières (on the D 24, 6 km from Mouriès) gradually restored its past chandelier. A loyal clientele of ecnophiles, haute gastronomy, hotel and specialized press make it honor. In a wild valley, between cultures of olive trees and pines of Alep, 31 hectares of grape varieties of the Midi - syrah and mourned - are cultivated and old grenaches of remarkable finesse. At the Domaine de Lagoy, established as a marquisate at the beginning of the 18th century and controlled by a castle classified as a historical monument, the descendants of the Meyran family, who have owned the property for nearly 340 years, run an 18-hectare vineyard planted in 1976, which has been converted to organic farming since 2001. In the cellars of the estate, red, rosé and white wines are produced and sold for export, but also in the store located on the Boulevard Marceau, in downtown Saint-Rémy.
