Openair market

Friday mornings are a hive of activity on Rue Nationale, the artery running through the town from one end to the other. Merchants take over the street, and you'll find everything from local produce and clothing to upholsterers, plants, carpets and mattresses... In summer, the market expands, joined by street hawkers to meet tourist demand. On Sunday mornings, local producers take over the cathedral square. These include the famous Lectoure melon. MARCHÉ DE MAUVEZIN

Covered market and market hall

Every Monday morning, the central square of Mauvezin is transformed. Its large and superb 14th century market hall and the arcades welcome the merchants. This is an opportunity for the faithful regulars or passing shoppers to fill their baskets with good products. It is also the opportunity to discover the city in a lively and commercial atmosphere which makes it all the more warm. This brings us back to the time when supermarkets did not exist and when these open-air gatherings were an essential part of the social link.

MARCHÉ DE SAINT-CLAR

Market

Every Thursday and Saturday morning, producers, traders and shoppers set up shop in the Saint-Clar market hall. People come from the surrounding hamlets and villages to stock up on fresh produce: vegetables, fruit, poultry... In summer, the procession of hawkers joins the battalion of producers. They liven up the village center in a cheerful, friendly atmosphere. The market is in full swing during the garlic festival in early August. Producers of Lomagne white garlic show off their braids of garlic heads, to take home as souvenirs.
