In the Gers region, Cologne holds its annual festival in August. The main festivities are spread over 4 days, with a gourmet market on Friday, serenades, pétanque competitions and a traditional meal on Saturday, and a large gathering of motorcycles and tractors on Sunday. In the evening, there's a hearty meal under the Halle, accompanied by a traditional hot-air balloon release and a dance with live music. On Monday, you can round off your festive weekend with a pétanque competition!

Situated one hour from Agen and one and a half hours from Toulouse, Fleurance is a charming Gascon bastide town which covers 43.32 km² and has 6,419 inhabitants, making it the fourth largest town in the Gers department in terms of population (behind Auch, Condom and L'Isle Jourdain). Member of the Community of Communes of the Lomagne Gersoise and Pays Portes de Gascogne, the town is also the capital of the canton. It is a particularly dynamic city, with many festivities that make the richness and dynamism of the town: the carnival in April, the cuivros foliz in July, the Fleurance astronomy festival in August, not forgetting the very beautiful programme of the cultural season. Fleurance has also developed a remarkable economic and commercial life.

The Centre d'art et de Photographie de Lectoure invites a number of contemporary artists to work together on a common theme. Videos, photos and works of art are exhibited in various locations around the town: Maison de la Photographie, the old courthouse, Halle aux Grains, Village des Brocanteurs, Jardin de la Cerisaie... You'll be given a map of the route and a list of exhibitors when you visit your first venue. While you're there, take the opportunity to visit the town.

It's in mid-August, when it's perfectly gorged with sunshine, that the Lectoure melon is celebrated! A local product par excellence, this gourmet jewel deserves a tribute from the town. On the program: melon tasting during the market and election of the best producer. In the evening, the confrérie opens the festivities, and the bandas liven up the aperitif. On the menu: melon, of course, but also delicious Gascon specialities. A DJ enlivens the evening, which attracts a large number of summer visitors and Gersois faithful to this summer rendezvous.
