PETR PAYS PORTES DE GASCOGNE
Read moreThe Pôle d'Équilibre Territorial et Rural (PETR) of the Pays des Portes de Gascogne was born in 2001 out of an administrative need to control the development of the east of the Gers. The will was to create a link between an active and dynamic urban population and a rural and aging territory. The PETR ensures the preservation of the environment and the living environment so dear to the people of Gers. It supports projects that allow a sustainable way of life to emerge in this territory.
LEAF FOR LIFE PARASOL
Read moreToulouse's Xaxier Aubry and Perpignan's Cyrille Jourdain have combined their skills to imagine, from Lombez in the Gers, this revolutionary parasol. In addition to slipping easily into a beach bag, this shade veil is designed to never fly away. Inspired by the shape of the leaves of monstera deliciosa, a plant known to resist the tornadoes of the Central American rainforests where it originates, the Leaf For Life parasol allows the wind to flow without lifting the veil. It also has a telescopic stand, and offers, as an option, a 16 watt removable photovoltaic panel. It is therefore possible to recharge smartphones and tablets after one hour in the sun via the parasol's USB port. A clever all-in-one tool adapted to all outings and terrains: the sand on the beach, the small stones on the banks of the river, the grassy surfaces of the campsites, the terrace of the house... Leaf For Life is a victim of its success: the next deliveries will only be made in spring 2019.
