A real institution in Calvi, Annie Traiteur is the fruit of a family project born in 1992. Initially at the head of the shop, Annie and her husband passed on their know-how to their daughter to take over and transform it into a fine grocery store, neat and of quality. Thus, tourists and locals rush there to find all the flavours of the Corsican soil. In the delicatessen section, you can try the antipasti savoury tarts or the Corsican veal sauté. On the grocery side, the shop offers a wide range of carefully selected local products.

Domaine Orsini has been described as the cathedral of modern gourmet delights. Originally famous for its AOC Calvi wines, it has expanded its production to include handcrafted aperitifs made from the fruits and plants of the maquis. You can come and taste orange or peach aperitifs, Muscat and Cap Corse, as well as liqueurs with scents of chestnut, wild blackberry, arbutus and citron, almond or fig and hazelnut, and an assortment of jams, nougats, fruit jellies and Maquisettes. Gift boxes also available. Beautiful, tastefully decorated cellar with reception and tasting room, and some fine musical and cultural events in season.

In 1905, the Costa family began raising and processing pigs in the village of Lama. In the 1970s, Ange Toussaint-Costa decided to set up a butcher's workshop in the basement of a house in Urtaca. At first, production was limited to the winter months, but expanded as the pig farm grew. In 1985, he built a new processing shed, recently enlarged. He is one of the island's three largest producers.

From April to October, every Friday morning, meet local producers and artisans at this market, where all fruit and vegetables are certified organic. The merchants will be delighted to advise you and let you taste their harvests. We particularly appreciate the direct contact with the merchants, as well as the quality of the seasonal produce and local specialties. This typical sun-drenched building is home to the artisanal biscuit factory Salvatori, established over fifty years ago. In the workshop adjacent to the shop are made small biscuits, and not just any biscuits: the canistrellis, typical of the area. Crunchy and without eggs, they come in many flavours: almond, hazelnut, aniseed, amaretti, chestnut, lemon, chocolate chips, vanilla-caramel? Another flagship product is the softer, softer tourtellinis. The moment of pleasure: drink a coffee accompanied by a canistrelli on the terrace of the shop.

It was listed as a historic monument in 1993 and voted "Most Beautiful Market in Corsica" in 2018. The 21 columns and 380^m2, harmoniously blended with palm trees and brick-red roofs, have overlooked the picturesque Place Paoli since the ^mid-19th century! Here, local producers offer seasonal fruit and vegetables, authentic cheeses, mouth-watering local fish and pastries with an island flavour... The estate of the Suzzoni family is located on the way to the 12th century San-Petru chapel, classified as a Historical Monument. It extends over 50 hectares in the communes of Montegrosso and Lumio, cultivated in the traditional way, on a land of granite arenas and clay terraces, planted with niellucciu, sciaccarellu, vermentinu, grenache, syrah, cinsault and muscat petit grain. Engaged in organic farming since 2010, the new superb cellar allows tasting, visits and enlightened comments. To taste: Domaine Culombu, Clos Culombu.

Kill Brie is the beautiful story of Virginie Bruno, who gave up her job as a literature teacher to refine cheeses, including 7 original cheese creations for which she is renowned: Kill brie, a totally addictive truffle brie, and Jackie Brocciu, a brie with brocciu, nepita and hazelnuts. This boutique is brimming with rare treasures. The icing on the cake is Virginie's incredible cheese platters, featuring flowers, fruit and cheese, with a magical sense of aesthetics! A must-see!

Eammanuelle Taberlet is a producer engaged in organic farming which produces mainly varieties of vegetables and fruit of ancient varieties selected for their exceptional taste quality. A young farm located in the plain of Lozari, on the municipality of Belgodère in Balagne. You can find A Zucca Bella season production at the Lumio market on Saturday morning and on sale in cart on order or subscription.

Amirale, Patriotique or Fidèle, the pretty bottles or cans of this beer don't lack piquancy, and tasting them is a pleasure. In 2019, Dumè Beretti created the Gloria artisanal microbrewery in Calvi, on the Balagne balconies road, to create a premium, full-flavored beer, American-style but... Corsican, for fine dining and its happy clientele, with boxes and entertainment at the brewery or in town, around a scooter... We also like Limo, a lightly sweetened lemonade available in three flavors: clementine, lemon and apple.

The Paolini family created this estate in 1900. Today, Marc Paolini represents the fifth generation, following in the footsteps of his mother who ran the estate inherited from his own father. The Domaine Landry, planted with traditional grape varieties, is renowned for its grey rosé, of which it was the forerunner, but also a beautiful red Léa cuvée, matured in oak barrels, the white Léa, the Innatendu, a surprising red, the Blanc des copines. Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and with a hundred members, this cooperative produces a top-of-the-range oil, marketed under the name "Oru di Balagna", the gold of Balagne. It comes from several varieties of olives, mainly sabine and germaine, from olive trees several hundred years old. Designated the best olive oil in France by the magazine 60 millions de consommateurs, it is also regularly awarded at the Salon International de l'Agriculture.

Camille-Anaïs, a young oenologist and winegrower, is committed to feminizing this world of Calvados AOC brut. In addition to the interest of visiting this beautiful property, one will find the range Villa Maestracci in red and white, resulting from the old vines and raised in barrel 12 months, the great classic E Prove in the three colors of which a dangerous gray rosé, the Clos Reginu, in the three colors, traditional vintage and the Marottes of Anaïs in red.

The stalls in the village square offer healthy, fair-trade produce: untreated vegetables, AOC olive oil, fresh Casgiu Casanu ewe's milk cheese, organic bread kneaded by hand and baked in a wood-fired oven, not to mention tasty fish from the local catch!
