And to go with them: sautéed potatoes with bacon, candied gizzards or mushrooms and homemade sauces perfect for all meats. The most gourmands can also be tempted by a dessert: Tatin pie, apple crumble with its custard, lemon pie, Norman pie, brownie, chocolate mousse... You can also leave with some products from the small delicatessen department and good bottles of Anjou wine of course. Everything will be served with a smile and enthusiasm: it makes you happy, it makes you want to come back and the loyal customers make no mistake about it!

Gold medallist for his superior cooked ham, his rillauds... Our man, listed among France's 100 best artisan-restaurateurs in 2013 by the bottin gourmand, and his son, too, shine as charcutiers and chefs. Beef cheek and asparagus terrine, poule au pot, Provençal hake fillet, blanquette de veau, as well as stuffed tomatoes, pizza, puff pastries, tripe... Wine is also available, as well as delicious long-life jarred dishes and desserts. Tray meals are also available at very reasonable prices (starter, main course, cheese and dessert), to be collected directly from the store and ordered 48 hours in advance.

For real gourmets, coming out of this shop the empty basket is almost a challenge! Camel Delicatessen/Les 5 Sens (formerly the charcuterie de la Visitation) has not only one of the most extensive charcuterie departments in the city, but also of impeccable quality: dry Corsican hams, ham on the bone, homemade white ham, chicken rillettes, grandmother pâté with poultry liver... The ready-made meals section also makes you salivate with its forest guinea fowl legs, its old-fashioned pork tenderloin, asparagus risotto or crispy rabbit with prunes. But what is most appealing here is the originality and finesse of the cold preparations, worthy of a real gourmet restaurant: a zucchini bodega with smoked salmon and fresh cheese, a thousand Tian-style vegetable leaves, sweet potato puree with hazelnuts, quinoa and speck nuggets. Sweet tooth lovers can enjoy an amazing Kumquat-yuzu cream (a small citrus fruit of Asian origin) or a caramel milk mousse, cashew nuts, crushed hazelnuts and its cream. Great art!

Thierry Château and Tonino Leroy-Goudet run this Maîtres Bouchers butcher's shop in Anjou, where tradition and quality go hand in hand. These friendly butchers buy their meat directly from the farm, so they've got quality to spare! The rabbits from Anjou are free from antibiotics and GMOs, the milk-fed veal is raised under the mother's milk, and the lamb and pork are local. Poultry from the Landes region is superb, and charcuterie is a sure bet, with homemade rillettes and pâtés as fragrant as they are tasty. Finally, there's also a delicatessen section with ready-to-cook cuts of meat: shepherd's pie, salmon paupiettes...
