The slopes of Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux are an extension of those of Saint-Emilion. Created in 1989, the appellation is home to some 230 winegrowing families, 25% of whom are organic. Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux was the ^1st Bordeaux appellation to set up a treatment plant for wine effluent. Tours, vineyard walks, bed & breakfast... From dawn onwards, traders take to the streets and squares of the town. Among the 80 stallholders (up to 100 in summer), many are producers. The Castillon-la-Bataille market is a lively affair, with an emphasis on quality food products: seasonal vegetables, of course, as well as meat and charcuterie, fish, cheeses... And depending on your mood, a caterer will also be on hand to treat you to regional specialities.

Château les Ormes-Sorbet is a winery located in Couquèques. It offers a wide selection of wines for ageing, as well as older, ready-to-drink vintages. Wine lovers can visit the estate and taste the wines in picturesque surroundings. The château is renowned for the consistent quality of its wines and the elegance of its oak. The Cabernet Sauvignon is particularly appreciated for its exceptional finesse and Médoc character. Visitors can buy the wines directly on site, and they can also be delivered anywhere.

The boutique is a great place to stop and stock up on souvenirs! It is attached to one of the oldest wine cellars in the Entre-deux-Mers region, established in 1936. Inside, you can admire the vats below. The boutique offers wines by producers, as well as wine and local produce boxes, delicatessen and accessories. Wine can be bought in bottles, in bulk (containers to bring along or buy on the spot) or in Bags In Box. The team will guide you in your choice.

At Fournil de Créon, the bread is crisp to perfection, made in the pure French tradition. The pastries, too, are delicious as hell. There's homemade chocolate in every shape and color, gingerbread, ice cream and homemade macaroons in every flavor. These are prepared daily, and gourmets can enjoy them on the spot. The story begins in 1950 with the purchase of 6 hectares of vines... Today, Domaine Jean-Yves Millaire is a certified organic (biodynamic) winegrower, with 45 hectares of vines in the Fronsac, Canon Fronsac and Bordeaux appellations. Since 1998, the vineyard has undergone a number of changes, including the planting of new, atypical grape varieties such as jurançon noir, petit manseng, colombard and riesling. The treasure hunt is a great activity for the whole family (5 years and up).

Vignoble Alain Roux GFA is a winery located in Fronsac. The winery's website features various sections, including "Home", "Our history", "Buy our wines", "News" and "Contact". Customers can build up their baskets by choosing the number of products they want, then validate their baskets and payment methods. Once the terms and conditions have been accepted, the order becomes final once the products have been paid for. It is important to note that products remain the property of the winery until invoices have been paid in full. Once delivery has been made, the customer becomes the owner and responsible for the items.

Château Lamarche Canon is a vineyard located in Fronsac. They offer a variety of wines such as Loupiot, Chateau Lamarche, La Rose Garnier, Volcelest, Château Canon ST Michel, Château Cavale, JEAN, PEPETTE and LA HASE VIN ROSE. You can also join a guided tour of the winery to learn more about the winemaking process.

At the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers, Fronsac is a quality wine-growing area. The vineyard is said to be the first historic vineyard in the Bordeaux region. Cardinal de Richelieu set his sights on it in 1632. Barely a century later, his great-nephew and godson of Louis XIV lived at the château. Imprisoned in the Bastille for his libertine gallantries, he introduced Fronsac wine to the court of Versailles. Its medicinal properties earned it the name "Richelieu's herbal tea". The story will be told during a visit to the château.

The Maison des Vins de Fronsac is a good starting point for discovering the wines and châteaux of the great terroirs of the Fronsac and Canon Fronsac appellations. With over 100 references at owner's prices, the store already offers a good overview, presenting at least one vintage per château. Almost every day, a new wine is offered for tasting. Sébastien Coularis has opened this Entrepôt on the route de Soulac, north of Lesparre. He advises both professional and private customers on their choice of wines, with a particular focus on the little nuggets he regularly unearths. While he focuses on Medoc and the whole range of Bordeaux wines, he also offers wines from other regions and abroad. There's also a wide range of producers' beers, arranged rums, whiskies, ciders and regional products.

During the summer period, of course, it is more pleasant, but this open-air market takes place all year round on the square of the station of Gujan-Mestras. Here, about forty itinerant traders are present to make discover quality products. This market allows to privilege the contact between the producers and the consumers. It is always appreciated by the Gujanese as well as the tourists and visitors of passage. Leave your car on the parking lot (allée René Fourgs) and take the free shuttle to get there.

This address had been on our radar for years, but we'd never set foot in it... Tifenn and Mathias' Chalet Gourmand is a veritable Ali Baba's cave of products from the Bassin and the surrounding area. Souvenirs, decorative objects, crockery, delicatessen, cellar (local beers, aperitifs...), café tchanqué... And in this bric-a-brac decor? A small canteen with a lunch menu (choice of sandwich with homemade bread + salad and dessert of the day)! In fact, everything can be eaten, drunk or bought. The welcome is cheerful.

Founded nearly 50 years ago by foie gras goldsmith Robert Chaffanjon, the Moulin de la Molle cannery offers gourmets goose and duck foies gras from the Landes region. Today run by Annie Chaffanjon, this small, relatively confidential business supplies the region's châteaux, sells directly on site, or ships its foies gras around the world. The House of Entre-deux-Mers wines is located inside the remarkable abbey barn classified as a historical monument, at the entrance of the abbey of La Sauve Majeure. Don't forget to admire the superb framework dating from the 16th century. The wine syndicate can thus be proud to present its wines of the AOC Entre-deux-Mers in such a beautiful place. Born in 1937, the appellation gathers 250 wine growers on 1 500 hectares. It produces exclusively dry white wine.

Maurice Robert and his wife Simone bought Château Turcaud in 1973. In 2009, the couple passed on their passion and know-how to their daughter Isabelle and son-in-law Stéphane Le May, also a wine lover. The history of Famille Courselle vineyards began in 1950 with the acquisition of Château Thieuley by André Courselle. His son, Francis Courselle, accelerated the estate's development from 1972, increasing the cultivated area from 4 to 80 hectares on three separate estates. Francis' daughters, Sylvie and Marie, carry on the tradition of sustainable viticulture. Certified in sustainable agriculture by Terra Vitis, HVE3 and Bee Friendly, Château Thieuley was awarded a Best of Wine Tourism in 2024 (wine tourism valorization of environmental practices).

Mélanie Badets, an agricultural engineer with a fine nose and palate, has taken over Cafés Tchanqué - named after the famous tchanqué huts - and given them the name Tchanqué Gourmet. She, too, knows a thing or two about coffee and roasting. Her coffees come from the mountains of India, Africa and Latin America. She selects them with care, giving preference to small producers who are passionate about their craft. Domaine Vigne is a winery located in the magnificent Ibie Valley, in Lagorce, Ardèche. Vines planted on terraces of rolled pebbles produce fresh, fruity wines made from a blend of grenache, syrah, grenache blanc and marsanne. Mas de Jean offers red, rosé and white wines, with intense aromas of red fruit, blackcurrant, strawberry and wild berries. The Pure range highlights the typicity of grape varieties and terroir, with barrel-aged wines adding complexity. The Nature Sauvage range offers wines vinified naturally, without added sulfites and unfiltered. Domaine Vigne also offers La Treille d'Or, a sweet wine ideal for aperitifs, and Le P'tit Rosé, an original blend of muscat noir and merlot.

Château de l'Evêché is a wine producer located in Lalande de Pomerol. The estate is planted on a clay-gravel terroir and mainly grows Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes. The wines produced are typical of the Lalande de Pomerol appellation. The estate offers tours by appointment, where visitors can learn about the history of the château and taste the wines. At weekends, tours are available by prior arrangement. Château de l'Evêché also sells its wines online.

A family-run business for three generations, Château des Moines is located in the heart of the Lalande de Pomerol vineyards, not far from the ^12th-century church that housed pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Les Jardins de VYMM is a market gardener based in Lanton. They offer a wide variety of fresh, locally grown fruit and vegetables. Les Jardins de VYMM are also present at independent winegrowers' fairs in various French towns, where you can discover and taste their award-winning wines.

The market takes place in Lanton-Cassy on Sunday morning, Rue Street, in Cassy from 8 h to 13 h. Night markets are also organized in summer. In the vicinity, on the Arcachon basin, the market is held on Sunday morning in Biganos and on Tuesday morning in Audenge.
