The Compagnie du Rhum has been established in the West Indies since 2008 and includes an e-commerce site specializing in the sale of rums from the Caribbean and around the world. Marika and Philippe de Pompignan had the brilliant idea of creating a showroom in Martinique. It is located in Le François, symbolically opposite the Simon distillery. The website is very pleasant, well done and well supplied! This store is an extension of it and offers more than 1,000 Caribbean rums for sale online. Shipping is possible throughout the world, except in the United States.

There's also a rum factory, which you can visit when the arranged rums are being prepared, and a large adjoining store where you can buy painted bottles of punch. Several flavors to choose from: coconut punch, pineapple, banana, passion fruit, coffee, lime... A good idea for a smart gift, especially as you don't have to limit yourself to two bottles to get through customs, as these painted bottles are considered to be handicrafts, although moderation is of course required.

This is the Damoiseau Rum shop which is on the same site as the distillery which houses a windmill dating from the 18th century. On site, a varied selection of rums (including cubed rum), of course, but also drum syrup, recipe books, customised glasses... and many other local products, as the shop has expanded and offers more and more choices of souvenirs to take back with you from your stay. You can taste the different rums (white, amber, old, punch...) before making your choice.

Aline and Philip make you discover their brewery with passion, through its history and the manufacturing processes of Karett beer. The three artisanal beers, unfiltered, based on natural ingredients: the lager (barley malt, cane sugar), the white (wheat malt, lime and bitter orange peel, coriander), the amber (barley malt, Guadeloupe coffee). If you're passing through in June or July, you might be lucky enough to taste the blonde Éphémère d'été, made from caramelized malts with delicate accents of coriander seeds.

Dormoy offers its flagship product, the coco punch based on a typical traditional recipe. Ten references (schrubb, pinacolada, 7 th ciel, planter.), as well as a wide range of exotic syrups with a typical local taste.

This online store has an exceptional selection of rums from Guadeloupe, Martinique and the entire Caribbean. Each distillery is represented on the site with a presentation of its various productions, whether it is agricultural white rum, amber or old rum, arranged rums (called punches). It is also possible to find French oak barrels with a capacity of 5 to 28 liters to store and age the drink of your choice, as well as wines and regional products.

The establishment offers a large choice of references, notably in terms of wines, beers, champagnes and of course local rums (agricultural rum or old rum). The selection is rigorous and meticulous: great Rhône and Bordeaux wines, Burgundy whites, Provence rosés, renowned champagnes and lesser-known winemakers. Le Dépôt de Bacchus also organizes regular themed events, on Friday or Saturday evenings, around wine and champagne with tasting of charcuterie or cheese. In short, a nice place to discover!

Also on site is a rum bar, where you can sip cocktails and taste the references that interest you, on a cosy pallet wood terrace. A delicatessen corner offers top-of-the-range local products (chocolate, coffee, jam, syrup...).

If you missed the rum tasting at the Bielle distillery in Marie-Galante, the boutique in the heart of Jarry is offering a catch-up session to discover the brand's products.

The distillery is renowned for its legendary 59° Bielle rum, as well as for its wide range of highly appreciated aged rums, and also offers a selection of fragrant liqueurs to awaken the senses. Every year, Bielle excels at the Concours Général Agricole: in 2023, the distillery won the gold medal for its 4-year old rum, vintage 2018.

The Cool & Bad planter created by Maher Bad won a silver medal at the Paris Agricultural Show in 2014 and was stamped "best planter in the world". Building on this success, Maher Bad decided to open the Maison du planteur, which you'll recognize by its orange front adorned with planter bottles. Here, you can take a tour, discover the culture and tradition in a friendly atmosphere, to the sound of local music, and taste the famous drink. Bottles are available in 50 and 100 cl sizes, as well as artisanal punches.

Craft beer comes to Martinique! Beer enthusiast Gilles Priam has created his own craft beer brand, proudly stamped Martinique. His vision? To brew beers using local fruits and spices to give them an authentic Péyi touch. The result is "Mad of Beer", a reference to Madinina. 4 delicious references: an amber with Badina and cinnamon, a blond withatoumo and another with maracudja, as well as ephemeral beers made according to the seasonality of the fruit, like the one with "grozey peyi".

This is the story of the rebirth of Habitation Beauséjour, a listed site since 1996, whose origins date back to 1671. The Habitation Chambert, consisting of a sugar mill and a cattle mill, was founded on the north side of the island. Over the years, the owners of this sugar mill changed names several times. It wasn't until 1900 that it was christened Beauséjour, under the impetus of its new owner, Amédée Alexis Augustin Knight. With him, the farm expanded by buying out the plots of land of the adjoining houses. He also converted the old sugar mill into a distillery and created the HBS brand. On his death in 1916, the estate was sold to the de Lucy de Fossarieu family, who continued to raise the quality of HBS rums to such an extent that they were awarded a gold medal at the 1931 International Colonial Exhibition in Paris. After the Second World War, banana cultivation began to supplant cane, and the distillery ceased operations in the late 1950s... until 2016, when Jean-Louis de Lucy and his son Arthur decided to relaunch the adventure of Martinique's oldest distillery. Renovation work took place in 2019, and in January 2020 the first HBS white rum was born! From the outset, the quality is top-notch: it's the result of a highly artisanal process (the canes are hand-cut, which limits oxidation, and harvested throughout the year according to maturity), and confirms the choice to distill in copper stills, which brings more roundness and smoothness. It exacerbates the aromas of HBS rum, whose canes also benefit from very rich volcanic soil, thanks to their proximity to Mount Pelée. All that remained was the choice of container. It was Arthur, a fervent Tintin fan, who came up with the idea of taking inspiration from the bottle in The Secret of the Unicorn. Since 2020, the distillery has set itself apart with its upmarket positioning: unlike most of its sister distilleries, which can only harvest cane from February to June, HBS harvests and distills all year round, resulting in the marketing of small, confidential cuvées (500 to 1,500 bottles per cuvée) several times a year in white and aged (with or without finishing in former cognac or whisky casks...). A visit to this traditional distillery, where you'll be greeted by Brice, our passionate cellar master, is well worth the detour!

Have you heard of QV Tropicales? These 100% made-in-Martinique natural sparkling beverages are made from local fruits: Cythère plum, pineapple, maracudja... From harvesting to processing, right through to bottling, each stage of production is carried out on the island. The result is a sparkling, low-alcohol drink (4.5%), with lovely local fruit notes, made from freshly squeezed fruit juices. A non-alcoholic version, with a shorter fermentation time, is also available.
