A very nice cafe with a vintage look that gathers more than 150 photos and about 300 various objects (medals, books...) about the Cuban Revolution. It is a small museum in its own right, designed by its artist owner, Mariano Gil de Vena, a Spaniard who fell in love with Cuba some 25 years ago. He is an impressionist-expressionist painter who will be happy to show you some of his works if you wish. All in all, Cafe Revolucion is a great place to go! Special mention for the piña colada

La Bodeguita del Medio is, like the Floridita, one of the most touristy bars in the capital because the writer Hemingway used to drink mojitos there. The faded blue walls, covered with graffiti and black and white photos of the stars who passed by, give it a unique look. And it is true that the Bodeguita del Medio is really a must in the Cuban capital. Narrow bar and nevertheless always very animated with mojitos at 250 Cuban pesos. An unmissable that knew how to stay true!

This is the place to go out in the evening. During the week as well as on weekends, this magnificent lounge bar with its incredible view of the port of Fort-de-France offers champagne, cocktails, and spirits in a refined atmosphere. It is the liveliest place on the island at night to have a drink before dinner or to dance afterwards when the dance floor is open (Creole music is on the program and at its highest level!). You'll find residents of all ages and tourists staying on the island who don't want to go to bed too early. There is always a very good atmosphere... in the colors of the site's decoration. The bar is on the roadside, but the terrace and the room are pleasant. The team is really friendly. Theme evenings are organized.

We recommend you this small bar certainly noisy but nice with an excellent quality-price ratio, something more and more rare in Las Terrenas. Without pretention, but in all relaxation, the cocktails are served there with a smile. Also a restaurant part. The place is held by a Frenchwoman, Sabrina, who knew how to make of her bar-restaurant one of the favorite places of the Frenchies of Las Terrenas. Despite its name, the Casa de Teatro is much more than a theatre, it's a cultural centre where young artists exhibit their work. In the evening, you can have a drink and a bite to eat while listening to the bands and singers who perform there several times a week (starting at 10pm). Exhibitions and debates are also organized regularly. It's a very pleasant way to immerse yourself in the history of the city and to get a better understanding of its culture. The narrow façade of La Cafetera opens onto a large, long counter. Stand or sit and sip a few drops of a full-bodied cafecito that has nothing to envy its illustrious Italian counterparts. This is "The place to be" in Rodney Bay Marina. Designed in a resolutely European style, this café-restaurant is run by a Saint Lucian who also owns the Boardwalk bar, located right next door. On the beautiful and large terrace which offers a 360° view on the boats of the marina, here is a pleasant stop, whatever the hour of the day, to savor a sandwich, a salad, small sweetnesses or to sip a hot drink. The prices are very affordable. The reception is very nice and smiling. Free wifi access.

Jalao is a restaurant, boutique, bar and concert venue in the capital. Beautifully decorated with all the handicrafts you can find on the island, it hasn't been empty since it opened in 2016. A program of national artists and groups is regularly updated. You can spend the whole evening there, from an aperitif at the bar, to dinner, to the musical and festive atmosphere that continues until closing time. Dominican youth and tourists mingle in a musical fraternity.

Watching the sunset at Rick's is a classic in Negril... The bar-restaurant offers a spectacular setting on the cliffs of West End, facing the sunset with a DJ playing good reggae dancehall almost every night or a concert, more rarely. The influx of tourists disembarking by minibus is a bit oppressive but once you've found your place, you can opt for the delicious and copious grilled lobster and even try jumping from the top of an 11-meter diving board on the cliff, for the big thrill on good sound.
