The estate produces exceptional wines that are regularly awarded in agricultural competitions. Château Barréjat won a gold medal at the Salon de l'Agriculture in 2020. The madiran and pacherenc du-vic-bilh wines are also cited in many specialized guides. Some of the plots are very old and this exceptional robustness allows us to obtain wines of great quality. Denis Capmartin shapes his vines with respect to tradition and terroir. He produces powerful reds and whites, either dry or sweet.

The great wines of tradition such as the wines of Jurancon are framed in their production by this cooperative. Created in 1949, the cellar was able to adapt to the changes of the 2000 s, in particular by obtaining triple quality certification linked to service, environment and food safety, but it is his certificate of kindness that we like most and we are not the only ones: with 270 000 visitors per year, it is the most popular 6 th company in France! In front of the cellar, an impressive wooden and glass building consists of the storage unit of one and a half million bottles, a bottling chain and a space for shipping. The history of this cellar can be summarized in a few key figures: 750 ha of vineyards on the name Jurancon dry, sweet and late harvest, on the appellation AOC Béarn red and rosé, 150 hectares on the site of Bellocq, 270 wine-growers… A wide choice and quality at the meeting with each year of the award winning vintages. During the visit of the beautiful semi-buried cellar, you can admire the th century Gallo-Roman mosaics and amphitheatre fields. A wonderful place for all senses!

For all wine lovers, the Cave de Crouseilles is the place to be in the heart of the Madiran and Pacherenc Vic-Bilh vineyards. The panoramic view over the vineyards is exceptional, and you'll find direct sales of an impressive range of wines. The château site is a lively place all year round, offering events that combine the discovery of vines and wine, the cellar with a winemaker, the fête des Vendanges... and culture with shows, theater, concerts and exhibitions. A wine trail, vineyard walks and an escape game in the Chai round out the attractions of this fabulous venue.

Pierre Michel Beheity has modernised the family vineyard and now offers a whole range of wines from organic farming. In 2011, he harvested for the first time his new acquired land: very steep, south-facing, in a valley sheltered from the prevailing winds. This is a strong symbol of the restructuring of the vineyard for high-end madirans. The same year, the Damiens Tradition 2009 won the gold medal at the Concours des Vins du Sud-Ouest. A beautiful reward that confirms the quality of the production. With active communication, the names of these vintages are known and carry the reputation of the vineyard well beyond the borders of Madiran. The vineyard has even been fully certified organic since 2017. A domain well anchored in Béarn and on the map of France!

The small village of Taron, in the community of communes of the canton of Garlin, has already made a name for itself after the discovery of mosaics evoking a part of the history of the place and reminding us that wine had already won enthusiasts there. Strange coincidence or a wink of fate, with the rebirth of the vineyard in the 1990s under the guidance of an aesthete, Jean-Marc Larroudé. Today, he reaps the benefits of in-depth work, in his 4 hectare vineyard with integrated agriculture, but also in the ultramodern cellars with sophisticated equipment, particularly in terms of temperature regulation. In 2012 and 2013, he received gold medals at the Concours général agricole. Thanks to the Domaine de la Caillabère, the Béarn appellation finds a well-deserved place alongside the most famous Madirans!

Domaine Capmartin, it is the work of Guy Capmartin who took again the estate in 1986. Left with 1.5 hectare it gradually extended until the 18 hectares today. The last innovation of this impassioned is a conversion with the organic farming in 2010. A new challenge which bears fruit with in 2011, production of its first raw labeled AB. The strategic location of these vineyards enables him to benefit from Madiran names, Pacherenc of Vic-Bilh, Béarn and Côte of Biscay, as many prestigious names which are added to the quality of these wines. The years, often applauded by the critics, were preceded several times as at Elutriating World Wine Awards or the Old Vineyards in Bordeaux... as many rewards deserved well for grand crus!

Visitors can learn more about local winemakers, discover the different wines produced in the region and even take part in wine tourism events. Situated on the border of the Gers and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, this 25-hectare vineyard is in the hands of Alain Bortolussi and produces AOC Madiron and Pacherenc du Vic Bilh wines. His vintages have won numerous awards, notably at the Concours Général Agricole: well-deserved rewards to crown the work of this winegrower who is constantly renewing himself and committing himself to these vines. To discover the Liqueur Wine: 100 % Tannat, prepared with grapes harvested at over-ripeness, perfectly fermented; ample in the mouth with a powerful nose, it is excellent chilled as an aperitif. Finally, Viella Castle hosts events all summer long. All year round you can follow the walk of the Gardens of Aure through the vineyards. A very pleasant walk between tradition and modernity. The walk ends in the wine storehouse, in a recently restored room where you can enjoy a tasting with the owner of the place.

Here, all the work in the vineyard is totally done by the hand of man. The vineyard extends over 43 hectares, on the steep hills with a south-south-east exposure, planted in small and large manseng and courtyard. In addition, Domaine Cauhapé is interested in older grape varieties such as Camaralet and Lauzet which are gradually being rehabilitated with a view to creating new dry jurançon. In addition, the winery allows the grapes to be treated with care and allows the production of critically acclaimed quality wines. Henri Ramonteu produces dry and sweet white wines on an exceptional terroir. The domain of Clos Lapeyre is first Jean-Bernard Larrieu, an epicurian in the sense of innate communication, figuring out the name and especially passionate character. He takes care of his vineyard, arranged on seven islands of 1 to 6 ha, and, with respect for it and the environment, undertakes to make only organic production, using biodynamic processes: a culture that allows its grape varieties to express the best of the land! A commitment that feels in every faith, according to the vintage and harvest, you will find 5 to 9 in dry white white, with each one a well-tempered personality! Exceptional cups are also the hallmark of the domain that is placed on the sunny autumns and ventilated to produce them. We strongly advise you to visit the chai to discover them through a tasting but not only: A museum of ancient tools shows them and it is once again exciting to discover ancestral techniques. An actor of ecotourism, the estate also allows a playful walk through vineyards with illustrations throughout the course and a playlist provided!

The Maison des Vins et du Terroir du Jurançon is a boutique, exhibition room and site of tasting and discovery. But what you'll appreciate most of all is that it is the largest store in the world of dry jurors and jurors with 150 references! In fact, it is an essential step in the Jurançon Wine Route, an association that has since 1986 brought together some sixty independent winemakers who own their wines themselves. This year, a beautiful new novelty makes its entry through two areas: the sparkling wine! You will also find a wide range of South-West wines, Béarn and Irouléguy and the madiran. Clos Cancaillaü is an amazing estate. The hotel belongs to Anne-Marie Barrère who helped by his sister and his mother. It operates two regions, one specializing in the mellow wine with an siliceous- clay floors, and the other devoted to dry white floors of conglomerates (sedimentary rock). The 16 acre estate are brilliantly managed by this dynamic viticultrice which managed to renovate the vineyards and to modernise the cellar to enable a production of quality that you can discover in an elegant dining room of tasting. The three wines that it offers are always applauded by the censor. Clos Cancaillaü has a fruity nose and enjoy a fresh cake. Le Crème of head, late vintage, a wooded nose associated with pear flavours. Finally Clos de la Vierge, with its bright nose, long in the mouth, seems a little more acidic and back to the palace. Chacun is a great success made by this bold female trio.

Located in Monein, Clos Laplume is an estate that made its name with André Laplume. Some twenty years ago, he took over the family estate in decline and learned the trade on the job, self-taught. He was joined a few years later by his daughter Camille, who had grown up in the vineyards. With its production of exceptional wines and its exceptional gîte nestling in the heart of the vineyards, the estate embodies excellence and the art of living. Its magnificent reception hall completes the offer, providing the ideal setting for special events. Le Clos Laplume invites visitors to discover the passion for wine, the tranquility of the gîte and the elegance of its receptions.

Isabelle, Pascal and Philippe keep this estate alive with its 28 hectares spread over three terroirs. The result is a wide choice of appellations: Madiran, Pacherenc de Vic-Bilh, Saint-Mont and Côtes-de-Gascogne. Reds, rosés, dry or sweet whites, all palates will find something to enthuse about. In the country of Saint-Mont, Plaimont will make you discover wines with a typical Gascon character. Created in 1979 by the association of the cellars of Plaisance, Aignan and Saint-Mont, the name Plaimont is their acronym. In 1999, the Caves de Crouseilles and Condom joined the group, adding to the basket the appellations Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Madiran and the IGP Côtes-de-Gascogne. The emblematic "vignerons au béret" have succeeded in preserving a parcel of pre-phylloxera vines listed as a historical monument. It is 200 years old and can be visited.

You will find a wide selection of wines in bulk, BIB and bottles in this cellar where all the names are combined: Medoc, Bordeaux, haute-médoc, listings, molds, saint-estéphhe, margals, serious, coasts… Many vintages are also available. The setting of the vineyard and cellar is already a reason to visit Arricau-Bordes. You can indeed see the castle, a magnificent building classified as a Historic Monument, the first stones of which date back to the 12th century, or the orchids of the dry grasslands listed as Natura 2000 sites. These are wines recommended by the Guide Hachette as well as by La Revue des vins de France. The winemaker has maintained the right balance between tradition and modernity, the grapes are harvested by hand and sorted according to his fluffy. The beans are intact when they arrive at the press and stay in the tanks up to 18 months for the most powerful wines. Freshness and exotic fruit or candies, vanilla spices, cinnamon or musketball: All the charm of the dry or soft Jurançon is concentrated through six bright and golden wines. An old barn in Béarn, which had housed the castle's riders in the 19th century, has found a new vocation since the products of the vine have appeared here for a handful of years. Once on this vineyard property, which disappeared in the 1990s, the owners decided to rent old parcels of vines, almost everywhere in the region they worked in the former henhouse... In 2007, the latter proved too small to receive the 170 hl of production, so it was the barn that took over and transformed into a cellar, where the wine was produced according to traditional methods: no air conditioning, no huge tanks equipped with temperature regulation but only small tanks, 225-litre Bordeaux and Burgundian barrels of 228 litres and 600-litre half nights. From here come out local wines, Comté Tolosan and vins de pays des Pyrénées-Atlantiques, 12 different wines with a production of 25 000 to 30 000 bottles, 90% of which are sold on the estate. A real challenge on 100 m².
