That's why only the Biscarrosse hydrobase can still claim this title today, even though it's open to general air traffic. Baptism, flight over the dunes, the Basin... Read moreSoulac-sur-Mer is home to the Soulac-La Runde airfield, a civilian airfield open to the public. The airfield is mainly used for leisure and tourism activities. It is managed by the Soulac-sur-Mer town council. The airfield has a fleet of aircraft including models such as the Diamond Star DA 40 TDI 135 CV, the Robin DR400-150CV and the Cessna F 172 M. These aircraft are used for introductory flights, first flights and trips. Visitors can enjoy a 30-minute flight to discover Soulac-sur-Mer, Le Verdon, the Gironde estuary and the Cordouan lighthouse. You can also take part in intensive flying courses to obtain your "brevet d'initiation aéronautique". The airfield also offers boxes for vacation equipment.
