From an individual canoe or kayak trip down the Dordogne from the base at Vitrac, to a group caving excursion, climbing or horse-riding, Canoës-Loisirs organizes a wide range of outdoor sporting and cultural activities. The lake,, a "little inland sea", is fed by 4 springs and extends over 12 hectares. An ideal place for a vacation, with its extensive leisure facilities. Designed and maintained all year round, it offers a wide range of water sports in complete safety: canoeing, kayaking, waterslides, pedal boats... Several play areas are available for children on the 700 m of supervised beach in July and August. There's also a fitness trail, tennis courts, volleyball courts, picnic areas and camper van parking.

The best time to explore the joys of river sliding is from April to November. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you'll enjoy gliding down the Pas de Roland gorges, a listed natural site, following the river's capricious course in the heart of a wild environment. You'll be spoilt for choice of activities, including rafting, canorafting, hydrospeed, stand-up paddle, tubing and more. You can also go canyoning, aquarando, climbing, caving and much more.

In Saint-Jean-de-Luz, jaï-alaï is well known. The local club, Gaztenak, founded in 1982, trains youngsters in pelota, specializing in cesta punta in winter and grand chistera in summer. What is a jaï-alaï? It's a fronton where cesta punta is played, with a side wall perpendicular to the frontis, located to the left of it, and a back wall parallel to the frontis. In 2024, the ^40th edition of the International Cesta Punta will take place.

Many activities are offered by the swimming pool, composed of two pools, one of 50 m and the other of 25 m, as well as a playground. During the school year you can practice aquabike or aquagym. Your child will learn to jump, to do the starfish, to move on the back and on the stomach... then he will take the test "Sauv'Nage", the first level of the French swimming school. Large windows envelop the place, which is very pleasant in summer because they are opened, which offers the possibility to sunbathe while dreaming...

Starting from the square of Arcangues, three walks are proposed throughout the year. You will walk through the undergrowth, along the golf course, the castle and the house of Luis Mariano. Ideal for families with children or friends.

There's no better place to play golf. Overlooking the ocean, it dominates the bay and has recently enhanced its surroundings with an ultramodern complex and panoramic restaurant. A hall to welcome the growing number of golfers, with lounge and boutique. As for the golf course itself, it lends itself to both learning and perfecting, with an international training center where you can train according to your desires or weaknesses. On carpet, grass, flat or sloping ground, all conditions are ideal.

The swimming pool at Audenge is quite unusual. In fact, it's the largest seawater pool in Europe. This seawater reservoir forms a large open-air swimming pool. In all, there are three pools at different levels for young and old alike. Of course, the water is heated by the sun. There's no chlorine here - it's the salt that stings the eyes - and no filter either! There's also a children's playground, sand, duckboard and grass areas along the pools, and frequent entertainment for the youngest guests.

"Vacancéole - Le Domaine du Golf d'Albret" is a large 3* tourist residence with 193 apartments, from studios to 3 rooms, some of which are accessible to people with reduced mobility, all equipped with a terrace or a balcony. Located a few kilometers north of the center of Bordeaux, Blue Green Bordeaux-Lac offers two 18-hole courses: La Jalle (6,156 m), which is totally flat and set in natural surroundings, and Les Étangs (6,162 m), which is more undulating and features numerous water obstacles, making it less accessible to neophyte golfers. Another 9-hole Pitch & Putt course allows beginners to take their first steps on the greens in complete tranquillity.

A legendary course, this 34-hectare par 69 is 5,402 m long. Over the years (it dates back to 1888), it has hosted more than ten European Opens, not forgetting the famous Biarritz Cup in July, France's biggest and oldest amateur event. In the heart of the Basque Country, at the foot of the Hasparren mountains, nestles Urkodea, a majestic ^17th-century Basque Labourdine equestrian farm. With a capacity of 15 people, this comfortable gîte (with independent access, fitted kitchen, etc.) dedicated to the "horse kingdom" is also for nature lovers, a bucolic interlude. The Club Txingudi provides training in all forms of boating and introduces people to water sports. It has over 800 members spread across the anchorages of Txingudi Bay, with 2 sections: sea fishing, sailing and all water sports. Regattas, fishing competitions and nautical rallies are organized. It is also involved in training for all ages, and has its own clubhouse. An association to be supported by donations.

In the heart of the forest, this superb site offers courses for the whole family. Whether young or old ( baby courses are available from age 3), intrepid or cautious, everyone will love playing Tarzan and leaping from branch to branch through the forest. The youngest will test their mettle on the pink Young Adventurer's Course, while the Adventurers will be delighted to try their hand at crossing nets and bridges. The more adventurous will try their hand at the Explorer's course, with a succession of bridges and balancing logs.

With over 140 games and 13 courses of varying levels, Parc Robinson is one of the biggest accrobranche courses in the region. Created in 2007, this association "law 1901" affiliated to the French Federation of Underwater Studies and Sports (FFESSM) gathers passionate volunteers. Lake or sea explorations, baptisms... Accessible from 10 years old, the Club has a slot at the Aygueblue aquatic center on Friday evening for winter dives. You will find this Landes underwater school at the Rey beach, behind the snack bar Le Cabanon, two fins away from the Hossegor canal; a unique shallow natural area. The deep dives off Capbreton are reserved for the initiated.

Christelle Magnier, a student of equestrian tourism, takes you to horseback riding, for a simple walk of one to two hours or for a day or longer hike. For younger people, a playful initiation to horseback riding and pony rides is offered.
