Opened in May 2021, this establishment offers a true gustatory journey. Here, everything is homemade and the menu adapts to the seasons. In this paradise of good taste, where pastries, sandwiches and cakes make our taste buds salivate just by looking at them, the products are local. The decoration in natural tones blends perfectly with the theme of this tea room. In other words, it is an establishment as we like them which allows to associate a tasty meal and a little rest in the heart of downtown. Authentique also does take-away sales.

The Jardin du Thé, created by brothers Mathias and Gaël Le Gloan, is a delight to discover on this peaceful pedestrian street. A haven of peace in the heart of the city, where people love to come and recharge their batteries. A garden divided into two parts, each on a different side of the street, between boutique and tea room. With an adorable team, comfort in every season with delicious homemade iced teas in summer and a selection of over 300 teas and infusions served hot, accompanied by homemade pastries. For several years now, Benjamin Chassaing has taken over from Sébastien François to continue his gourmet creations and the history of this patisserie, which was born 100 years ago and became Desserts et Chocolat 30 years ago. Know-how, passion and philosophy remain unchanged. Seasonal fruits, quality ingredients and unique delicacies: pastries, chocolates, confectionery, macaroons, ice creams... What's changed? The premises are much bigger and more functional, perfect for enjoying these little masterpieces at any time of day!

The Counter Zanzibar is a little the island to the mysteries of the childhood of Geraldine Veyret. A cave with treasures that never contain the same secrets. There are always new features! The last project is the manufacture of chocolate and spreads tablets. For this, Geraldine is following training at the higher national pastry school. In the meantime, it is always a pleasure to find the jars of nougats, the traditional niniches (which it alone proposes in Rhône-Alpes!), the spice bottles… Geraldine is inexhaustible on the products it uncovers in small artisans. We love Zanzibar for its famous dishes (Metis and rum, purple…), for its famous ice creams with incomparable taste, its many teas, cafes and infusions, its little aperitifs and unknown wines, its Confitures jams, and especially for the talent and friendliness of the boss! The place is not just a fine grocery store, it's also a wonderful tea lounge where you can calmly taste a good gingerbread or a little orange cake and an exhibition room where the artists give it to heart. Cédric Pernot changed his address and took over the boutique of the Faithful Shepherd under the arcades of Boigne Avenue. A tea salon, chocolate maker or pastry maker, the boutique at the Faithful Shepherd is part of the Chambérien landscape. Since 1832, the gourmands have stopped in this place marked by generations. An ancient décor, classified as historic monument, furniture and wooden and marble counters, pampille chandeliers, armchairs of the 1950 s, all breathe the soul of this house. Cédric Pernot, pastry pastry maker with delicate attention. As Petit Smart does not miss an opportunity to spoil himself, he has gone chewable with absolutely delicious macaroons before discovering small, small-quality ganache chocolates. In the tea lounge, you can drink a warm, old-fashioned chocolate-style chocolate.

If you pass by Louis Braille Street, you may be attracted by the delicious smell of pancakes. Sweet, you can enjoy them in the afternoon with hot chocolate, tea or Viennese coffee in a cocoon setting. And if you're not a pancake lover, you can still enjoy cookies or ice cream. In a very pleasant calm, do not hesitate to enjoy a good local fruit juice. At noon, you can also eat with a salmon pancake for example but also with a special dish or a salad at a very attractive price. In this little street of the Croix-Rousse, Futé saw this Comptoir Sauvage appear with undisguised joy. In the big family of coffee shops, here - at last - is the organic version that will do us good. Run by charming women who know how to cook perfectly, Comptoir Sauvage is a tea room that thinks as much about our environment (no gaspi and waste with the possibility of taking away in its own container), our well-being (gluten-free option, 100% vegetable) as it does about the pleasure of our taste buds. At the quiet corner of the Griffon Street and the Rosemary street, this tea salon offers more than a hundred different types of teas, but also Colombian, Ethiopian or House coffee, sugar flavoured with violet jams or cranberry… Certainly what to do the happiness of all lovers of fine snacks in this tea and coffee lounge near the Opera. You can even enjoy breakfast at eight o'clock in the morning. In this chic interior with jazzy music, the café is king. The water is filtered with a softener so that it does not alter its perfume. Cocktails based on coffee, milk or chocolate will be offered. Here tea is served in an original and unusual way, on one side a beautiful steaming teapot, on the other a transparent glass and a flower of tea. It takes in the glass containing hot water and then after infusion, it opens into corolla and gives a delicate scent. Homemade ice creams with refined fragrances, an apple pie, praline pie, caramels to Charente-Poitou butter, fruit or chocolate cakes, madeleines allow to complete this excellent range of products which are also available for sale. Comme à la Maison is a coffee-shop set up near the Jean Monnet faculty, ideal for a gourmet break in a cosy, modern and warm atmosphere. Hot or cold drinks and delicacies to nibble on await you. In this cocooning atmosphere, you can come to work, have lunch with the family or sip a drink after class. Highly dynamic and always full of ideas, the manager organizes a wide range of activities on the premises, from knitting classes to chess lessons, for young and old alike.

An authentic melted chocolate bar that's a real treat, even in summer when we're invited to dip our iced eskimo in one of Valrhona's signature melted chocolates. For six years now, Papas Sucrés has been pampering us from Wednesday to Sunday, bruncheurs' day! A delightful tearoom in the Ainay district, near Bellecour, to spoil us with delicious products. Cakes made on site by Grégory behind the stove. Tasty toasts, well-composed salads and delicious 100% homemade cakes that give pleasure with every bite. A succession of delights to share. The other dad in the dining room is Jonathan. Snacks at lunchtime, sweet cakes, fresh lemonade and regional fruit juices, creamy hot chocolate with cookies and muffins, delicious homemade waffles, pancakes and, in summer, bubble tea. The cat is a soothing animal, because of the way we look at it and the purring it gives us when we pet it. At Bénédicte Marabita, you can enjoy the company of cats over a drink, and even adopt one! Savory pies, wraps, soups and homemade desserts will accompany your lunch break.

Of course, the owners have changed, but the Todeschini family took over the torch in 1993, perpetuating the best of the gourmet tradition.
