For several years now, singers and groups of many styles have come to make its walls vibrate. Rap, electro, French variety, rock'n roll, metal, reggae... The least we can say is that Le Fil practises eclecticism. With a capacity of 1,200 spectators in the main hall and 300 in the club area, the size is ideal and even hosts festivals. The Auditorium is the place to hear and see music on a grand scale. Indeed, it is one of Europe's largest classical music concert halls, a setting with perfect acoustics where the musicians of the Orchestre National de Lyon have been performing since 1975. It has taken place in the creative neighborhood Manufacture/Plaine Achille, in a building with sober and simple architecture valuing the existing. The company, which set up 30 years ago in the huge theater of the 8th arrondissement in Bachut, was supposed to open workshops in the walls of the former Guimet Museum in the 6th. And then, the executive having changed, the Workshops will not go any more to Guimet but in a room closer to the House of the Dance. The shows have resumed in a magnificent hall where the greatest French and international companies perform. A program for all styles, from circus to opera and hip-hop.

The Théâtre des Pénitents is located in the city centre, on the site of the former Chapelle des Pénitents. Renovated in 2003, this 230-seat theatre, classified as a Historic Monument, hosts many shows with a focus on music, theatre and circus arts. The Gaga Jazz association now has its own venue for all kinds of jazz. The venue occupies the space of the former Comédie restaurant, and welcomes top names from France and abroad. In an alley in Old Lyon which has had an illustrious name for more than 25 years, the Boui Boui is, as it says, the "reference of café-theatres". Opened in 1940, in the Spirit of Modern Art, the Astrée meets current standards. Accessibility for people with reduced mobility with the creation of a lift, ramps, acoustic insulation, 370 seats instead of 500 to provide more comfort, club chairs, reversible air conditioning… You can rediscover the frescoes nested in the hall vaults, covered in the 1970 s by tapestry. Carried out by the painter Savoyard René Maria Burlet (also author of the Church of Saint Pierre de Market Church) and unveiled in 1942, they are based on the book of the Astrée d'Honoré D'Urfé, dating from the late th century, with a champêtre and mysterious world.

Samy Frey, Gérard Depardieu, Claude Lelouch, Bébel and Pierce Brosnan: they all adorn the façade of Chamonix's Vox cinema. This is to be expected, given that each of them has at one time or another shot a film or scene in Mont Blanc country. It's a pity the fresco wasn't done later, as Clint Eastwood and Cécile de France could have appeared in the trompe-l'oeil windows created by A. Fresco.
