The traditional Japanese jujitsu club in Rivière, near Arras, offers the opportunity to practice the non-competitive Japanese martial art of jujitsu wa-jutsu method. Sessions are adapted to the level of the students and supervised by an experienced volunteer. The dojo is located in Rivière's multi-purpose hall, behind the town hall, surrounded by greenery. It has 100 m2 of tatami mats and is fully equipped to welcome all our students. Annual dues are affordable, with discounts for families and multiple practitioners. It is on the former property of the Count of Montalembert that the famous Brigode golf course was built more than 40 years ago. As for golf, you can choose between courses of 3, 9, 12, 15 or 18 holes and you can take advantage of the 30 driving ranges, 6 of which are covered, the putting green or the club-house. Sloping and deep bunkers, wooded areas and bodies of water are all obstacles to be overcome! After that, a break in the gastronomic restaurant of the golf course is necessary. Please note that, as a golfing tradition, proper attire is required.

The Golf du Sart is one of the oldest courses in the region. Born in 1910 with a 9-hole course, it now has 18 holes. In twenty years, this golf course has been able to modernize while highlighting its history and especially its monument: the majestic Louis XVI castle. Just ten minutes from Calais, discover an adventure course in the Guînes forest. In complete safety, a 10-hectare adventure course with suspended workshops between 2 and 15 m high. Different itineraries of progressive difficulty for over 3 hours of thrills and spills. For the bravest, there's a 75 m zip line that takes you down at top speed! Children up to 5 years of age have their own adventure course, just like the grown-ups, and children up to 10 years of age have an easy and a more difficult trail at their disposal.

The ponds of Patis have something to delight all freshwater fishermen. A pond for trout, perennial and saumonée (11 € half day), another for white fish (perch, pike, preserves, eels… 7 € half day), with possibility of fishing night carp on reservation (€ 11). No one is forgotten: with its two family basins, children's playgrounds, bowling alleys and picnic barbecues, nothing is missing to spend a very pleasant day (55 € 5 kg of fish). A large parking lot is located at the entrance, and a bar with terrace will serve you refreshments and all the equipment necessary for fishing practice.

Created for the first time in 1901, the Wimereux golf course was rebuilt by two British architects, Campbell and Hutchinson, after the First World War. It hosted some brilliant international meetings between the two world wars, but it was heavily damaged during the Occupation. The golf course had to be rebuilt a third time during the 1950s. The course extends over 62 hectares between the sea and the Boulogne countryside so harmoniously undulating and the dunes of Ambleteuse, a classified and protected site. A wonderful place to get some sea air.

Enjoy two 18-hole courses of character in a wooded environment. Designed in 1934 by Tom Simpson, the Golf des Pins which winds through the Hardelot forest is one of the most interesting courses on the continent. As for the Dunes course, inaugurated in 1991, it offers a spectacular panorama between water, dunes and forest. It too has a solid reputation. The restaurant is open to all. You can enjoy classic French or regional cuisine, but also snacks and other small meals.

The fishing at the Mirrors Lake, Avenue Charlemagne, property of the municipality, is managed by this association. It is possible to fish thirty minutes before dawn until minutes after sunset. Boots are recommended for some banks, and don't forget your hardware!

A very beautiful and easy hike, easily accessible by bus from Douai: the Terrils of Escarpelle and Pâturelles. Entirely reserved for pedestrians, they are as much a precious testimony of the mining past of the region as a reason to walk in nature (which has reclaimed the place). From the top, you can see the town of Roost-Warendin, but also the headframe shaft which is clearly visible on the horizon. Recommended for families!

A natural site of an exceptional scale, which testifies to the way in which a former industrial environment can become, in the space of a few decades, a Natura 2000 labelled area! Between the ponds and the many migratory birds (which feel at home here), you can still see many traces of the old mine, including the headframe of the old Ledoux pit. Don't hesitate to make the tour of the ponds, a nice hike of 9 kilometers.

A walk on the Argales slag heap (and the surrounding area) is to observe the impressive metamorphosis of a former abandoned industrial site that has become a sensitive natural area. Here, lizards, fishermen and sportsmen have replaced the cars and cranes of yesteryear. It is a pleasure to walk around, to practice a little sport, alone or with the family, in this impressive setting. With facilities specially dedicated to sailing and mountain biking, there are many opportunities to get out and about, for fun and pleasure!

A nice hike through the wood of Lewarde, three kilometers long and that can be done easily in less than an hour: it is the circuit of the Wood of Lewarde. Ideal to discover the wooded and forested side of the region, you just have to follow the yellow PR markings or the (legendary) red and white GR 21 which follows the same route. As you walk along, keep an eye on the horizon: you may see the Centre Minier (mining center) coming into view!

The Comité Départemental Nord Cyclotourisme offers various activities and events throughout the year. The Syndicat Hippique Boulonnais is an association created in 2008, whose main aim is to safeguard the Boulonnais horse. It organizes, co-organizes or participates in regional, national and even international equestrian sporting activities, such as official competitions and popular events. The association currently has 98 active members, and aims to highlight this animal heritage, as well as the social, human and cultural history of the region it represents. It is also committed to environmental protection and sustainable development, supporting activities where the horse is used, such as specialized household waste collection or forest skidding. The association's aim is to achieve significant results in national and international competitions in order to promote the region and the Boulonnais horse. To achieve its objectives, the association needs to be recognized as a useful entity in the promotion of the rural world, find sufficient funding and gather as many members as possible.

Since the early 2000 s, the Northern Federation has developed its policy around the two major missions assigned to fisheries federations: the management and protection of aquatic environments and the promotion of recreational fishing. The current fishing stock campaigns have already reserved some good surprises such as the rediscovery of hotu on major Helpe and eels on the Deûle.

In 2004, this PÊCHE fishing school of the Roubaix-Tourcoing Canal won the first national prize for Halieutica trophies from Lyon des Eaux France which rewards its actions to raise public awareness of the protection of the aquatic environment through the practice of angling. The slogan of the house? " Fishing is not just for boys! " The tone is a nice school that attracts more practitioners. The association's facilitators propose, throughout the year, initiations to angling (from 8 years) and educational animations.

On the occasion of the 2010 Heritage Days, the city of Roubaix, a city of art and history, brought to the honour its canal by producing a virtual exhibition: The Canal/A Roubaisienne, presented since September 2010 on the digital library of Roubaix, from the collections of the library and municipal archives. The result is an exciting interactive document, on the history but should the topicality of the canal de Roubaix, to look on its screen, with photographs of archives and a very interesting chronology of this canal, its construction, navigation, fishing… You can also download and print a small document that summarizes history. On the territory of the municipality, you will find twohiking trails including the "sentier des Marais". Starting from the Place Salengro, this trail allows you to discover Beuvry, a green city and a nautical stopover, or if you have time, to explore the surrounding territory. Two loops are available, one of 6 km or a hike of 13 km of average difficulty. In the woods, in the spring, you are guaranteed to be delighted with the multitude of dragonflies.

The Bellenville estate offers four trails to discover a unique flora and fauna. As you walk along, keep an eye out and you may be lucky enough to discover the very fast kingfisher (it can reach 80 km/h!) or the very elegant grey heron. These wetlands are a precious asset for the region and make this place a major site of the Sensitive Natural Spaces. The four trails are short and suitable for everyone, enough to share a family walk in the heart of this teeming nature.

At the boundary of the Regional Natural Park of La Plaine de la Plaine, visit the municipality of Anhiers, where nature réapproprie gradually, a former village of war-ravaged miners between 1914 and 1918. Today, there are old installations such as concrete headframe of 1920. The post-industrial atmosphere plunges us into this past of social struggle, before resuming the walk on the banks of the Scarpe.

In less than three kilometres walk, discover the historic, architectural and urban heritage of the municipality of Boulogne-sur-Mer. On a different theme, comtemplez the medieval appearance of the water tower, both keep and the city. An advice: be careful and raise your eyes, as Bailleul abounds in small architectural gems. This 10 km tour (about 3 h 20) leads you to discover the site of the Btaille de la Peene (1677 ° at the foot of Mount Kassel. It borrows many small country roads where traffic is not very important.

The departure takes place in the Ela square of Zuytpeene or Noordpeene, the car park of the Battle House.

The ideal way to do this is between April and October.

Among the dream places of the Opal Coast to ride, the Authie Bay offers to the walkers its magnificent landscapes. The equestrian center of Berck-sur-Mer offers to the amateurs a professional supervision for strolls of one or two hours on the beach or in the wilder frame of the bay and also introductory courses in horsemanship or ponies for the youngest as well as snacks and workshops, acrobatics... which will animate formidably a day!

This 9 km long circuit, which takes a good two hours to complete, offers you a nice breath of fresh air. From Gravelines, walk along the river Aa via the Chenal dike to the beach of Petit-Fort-Philippe and its lighthouse, which you can visit in the afternoon. Then take the road again to find yourself in the Polder Park. A short tour through the green belt around the walled city and you are back at the starting point.

The equestrian centre, just a stone's throw from Hardelot castle, at the foot of the bridle paths, benefits from a privileged location between the sea, the forest and the edge of the Lac de la Claire Eau to offer various rides: it can be the golf tour (1h), or the beach ride (2h) but also the "ice ride" of 3h offered only in July and August. The club also offers all kinds of courses, from initiation to improvement, and has a stable of owners.

The highest climbing gym in the region (18 meters) invites you to get high! At Climb Up Wambrechies, the climbing session takes place independently, with a dynamic team ready to advise you if needed. The 120 climbing routes for all levels are regularly updated to vary the pleasures and performances. Discovery zone for children, automatic ropes to climb without a partner, changing rooms with shower: they have thought of everything. After the effort, you can relax at the bar which offers drinks and snacks!

Set off from the forest house for a short hike. The Bois de Ballon trail owes its name to the first successful balloon crossing of the English Channel by aeronaut Jean-Piette Blanchard in 1785. He set off from Dover and landed on the edge of the Guînes state forest; the Blanchard column commemorates this event. Along the way, you'll find an adventure course with monkey bridges, giant swings and a 120-metre zip line!

Accessible to all, the sentier de la Colonne is a hike that plunges you into the Denacre valley, which is full of beautiful 19th century mansions and manor houses built of Baincthun stone. Farms, ponds and waterfalls also decorate this 8 km long trail. Don't miss the famous column of the Grande Armée, a 53-metre-high marble monument erected to the glory of Napoleon. It immortalizes the camp of Boulogne where 18,000 men were assembled by the emperor to prepare the invasion of England.

Mount Pelé, culminating at an altitude of 200 meters, and its neighbor Mount Hulin, dominate the commune of Desvres and the entire Boulonnais bocage. Starting from the parking lot of the Maison de la Céramique, the walk takes the hikers in a humid and shaded environment made of trees and shrubs as well as numerous streams. Once exploited for its chalk by the Société des Ciments de France, it is now returned to nature. Count 1h30 of hiking (3 km). There is an extension of the trail towards the town of Menneville to go to the Hulin mount (4,5 km).

Nature and history combine to create a panorama rich in discovery. Along the way, you may come across brown gulls, green woodpeckers, kestrels and laughing gulls, as well as numerous rabbits? The trail ends up on the Slack dunes, running towards Ambleteuse and its Vauban fort. You'll end up joining the Slack as far as its mouth at the Fort d'Ambleteuse. One of the most beautiful hikes you can do for the diversity of its landscapes.

The Fencing Circle of Hénin-Beaumont (C.E.H.B) has a national and even international reputation! Indeed, this club has seen many champions from France and Olympic champions in particular jubilation!
