THÉÂTRE DU NORD - LILLE
Read moreThe Theatre du Nord is a privileged place for culture with its repertoire parts in Lille, and its contemporary creation in Tourcoing. Housed in the prestigious Grand'Garde building of Louis XV, this theatre offers a beautiful overview of the spirit "subsidized public theatre": if he is able to show demanding and successful creations (Calderón, Houellebecq…), he also displays more popular shows, concerts and creations for a younger audience he proposes to play in schools and even on public square to show that theatre is done by everyone and for all. But the theatre of the North is also a nice bookstore that works in partnership with the no less beautiful bookshop Lille Le Bateau Livre, and a cafe now held by the Peek team in Boo. Theatre in the North? A beautiful address, both cultural and greedy!

THÉÂTRE LE PHÉNIX
Read moreIn Valenciennes, theater is a historical tradition, so much so that it was nicknamed "the Athens of the North" until the beginning of the 20th century! But in 1940, the theater of Valenciennes fell victim to a fire. It is only in 1996 that the work begins to build the Phoenix. In 2018, finally the theater in Valenciennes rises from its ashes (hence its name) and offers us a place in the shape of a huge red liner, with two rooms (750 seats or 170 seats), rehearsal spaces, an exhibition space and a restaurant.
