THE WATER WATCH
Read moreLocated inside the Thermal thermal park, Water Watch is a space of scientific culture dedicated to water. The project has been carried out since 2007 by the Association Les Eaux et les Hommes. The site consists of three spaces: a permanent exhibition divided into six modules (the source, the well, the window of the research, the aqueduct and the washing machine), workshops led by a facilitator who performs experiments with children and a cyberthèque, a place to consult with the multimedia resources around water and sustainable development. In summer, temporary exhibitions are hosted and numerous events are organized around La Watch.

Established in 1735 by Henri-Louis Leclerc, this factory played a major role in the economy of Argonne from 1765 to 1848 and was one of the most important in the Grand Est. This exhibition provides an overview of the different types of ceramics produced in Bois d'Épense: from the "grand feu" earthenware to that painted on the lamppost known as "petit feu", produced from 1785 to 1848, as well as fire clay crockery...
