Founded in 1989, certified in 1998 Stage of contemporary music, South Pole has since 2001 been an associative scene for dance and music. Its objective: develop a strong artistic and educational project in the fields of dance and music. His musical programming, widely dedicated to jazz, presents artists to national and international renown. On the side of dance, it is widely open to contemporary movements. Every year, she invites some thirty-five companies to take place, especially at the New Strasbourg Danse festival. Since 2004, it has had a large infrastructure (2 dance studios and 5 for music), allowing it to train artistically close to four hundred people per year.

The aim of the association is to help the lively children in the contaminated regions of Belorussia. In particular, it financially supports the research tasks of the Belrad institute and the distribution of apple pectin, necessary to eliminate a high proportion of Cesium 137 accumulated in some bodies body of children, including the heart and the gland thyroïde.
