The inner courtyard faces a beautiful painted boat set on a flowerbed. The dishes are well presented on plates that are difficult to finish. Two dishes to recommend: grilled squid (medium!) stuffed with feta cheese and tomatoes and pepper, and boiled salicornia, homemade seaweed served with olive oil from the Peloponnese and half a lemon from the garden.

Chic, To Sik in Greek, is a restaurant that combines traditional Mediterranean and Cycladic cuisine with influences from oriental or European gastronomy. There is everything from meat or vegetarian dishes, and even gluten-free. In the kitchen we try to use as much local produce as possible: most of the vegetables come from the garden. White and green, the tavern matches perfectly with the colours of the trees that embellish the village square where we dine. The quality of the service makes us recommend the place.

This refined Mediterranean restaurant with a discreet French touch is beautifully set on a terrace overlooking a pedestrian street in Parikia. In cooler weather, you can also choose to dine in the sumptuously modern interior, with works of art hanging on the walls. We loved the spicy ceviche, the delicate clam pasta and the puffed chocolate cake, hidden in a cloud of barbapapa! The Porto Carras 2021 white wine also deserves a special mention. An ideal restaurant for a romantic dinner.

Definitely one of the most successful restaurants in Andros: Greeks and tourists alike meet here in a somewhat kitschy setting to explore a limited menu, which is always a good sign to taste authentic cuisine. Delicious pasta with local sausages, hand-rolled dolmades and a homemade pita with soft Andros cheese. All masterfully orchestrated by the owner, who pays attention to everything!

An excellent tavern-restaurant serving sophisticated Mediterranean cuisine and excellent quality dishes inspired by local cuisine. The staff is very friendly and the quantities are very reasonable. The atmosphere is informal, everyone is in bathing suits. We recommend this beautiful shaded terrace between the beach and the cliffs of Pori. It is also an ideal place to spend the afternoon. It is sometimes necessary to count a little of wait to eat, but we can wait while enjoying the view. A great place!

We just add quotation marks because the offer, as often in Greece, goes beyond with burgers or daily dishes (from pasta to carbonara to mushroom risotto, through cheesecakes) very suitable. An institution opened by two brothers in 1992, 200 meters from the Church of the Virgin. This excellent restaurant is also a meeting place for the locals and regulars. This is a tavern with a beautiful courtyard, a few meters from the beach. On the menu: fresh fish, but especially seafood, lobster and octopus. Try the kakkavia, a succulent fish soup. This gourmet restaurant inside the Mythis Paros Hotel boasts an incredible panoramic view of the sea. But the real show is on the plate: ceviche with passion fruit and tiger's milk, octopus with fennel root, sea bass with blue potato, corn and yucca, or spicy oxtail that has simmered for 48 hours... All washed down with a few glasses of Moraitis and Dialogos wines. A real treat!

The menu is more Greek than the name of the establishment suggests but does not disappoint: gavros (anchovies), sardines and grilled octopus are on the menu. The menu is in Greek, English and French. There is plenty of choice with quality products. Perfect reception and service, professional and friendly.

Even if the most recommended establishment in the village is a pizza pizzeria, the restaurant remains very authentic. Classic card but homemade pizza cooked in open kitchens. And then, above all, this little view: on the other side of the port, its windows open onto the sea. Beware, it is often stormed!

A 15 minute drive from Marmari, this tavern lost in the land is worth a visit. Direction Paradisi for a stop in a family tavern. Far from the coast, there is little or no fish (a few gavros) and mostly meat dishes, some of which are produced here. Beef, pork and even wild boar on certain days. We especially appreciate the place at noon, for its terrace, and the possibilities of stroll which it offers around. Also on the menu, an excellent homemade pita that we recommend you finish at the hotel or the next day.

This snack bar is obviously an invitation to a snack, such as a pita or a club sandwich. However, we particularly appreciate its free deckchairs on the beach and its great tranquility. On this relatively unused part of the waterfront, swimming while you are being prepared a coffee shake or a fresh soda is a wonderful luxury at a very low price (2 € the coffee with its small bottle of water!).

Nikolas, the owner, is very friendly and you might also enjoy talking with him. The rooms are clean and neat, the service is impeccable. Copious meals, simple and generous, with a good value for money.

On the beach, this small ouzerie grows its small tables outside the waves. Try shrimp saganaki (cheese), small fried squid or fresh fish…. A treat!

We tend to think that restaurants with typically Greek names (i.e. incomprehensible at first sight to those who do not speak the language) often have good surprises in store for us. Nevertheless: this restaurant soberly named "Greek Flavours" confirms the rule: fresh salads, small grilled fish, saganaki specialities and traditional sauce dishes, all with a very honest homemade tsipouro. And, above all, it's on the waterfront, above a small beach where you can take a dip while waiting to be served ..

You must speak Greek or have eaten there to validate the name of the establishment. Translate: the "extra" place or tavern. And it wasn't oversold. In front of the beach but under a shaded arbour, you will find here some very classic dishes of the day (fava, gemista, zucchini croquettes, we didn't leave anything!). In the kitchen, you can also choose your freshly caught and perfectly cooked fish. It is a little secluded, very Greek and family but also on the other side of the road to the seaside, facing the sea for a swim between two courses

Slightly set back from the port and in a small alley, the place is very pleasant. The Cavo d'Oro, a quasi-institution, has been operating as a restaurant since 1897. He spreads out his tables outside in a narrow alley where you can enjoy grilled meat to order. Also take fish, casseroles and stews. By the way, feel free to have a look in the kitchen. The portions are copious and the menu varies according to the season. The service is friendly, and the place is crowded... but not by tourists!

Namely: here, there is a real cult to Greek cinema, as evidenced by the decoration that gives pride of place to national glories. Moreover, the names of the dishes also refer to the cinema. As its name suggests, this elegant tavern is located on the Amarynthos waterfront (at the entrance to the village, 7 km from Eretrie). The tables are by the sea, isolated from the (relative) agitation of the waterfront and offer the possibility to dive into the water before, during or after. The food comes from across the street too. We recommend the fish of the day, mostly not farmed, and you can choose it in the kitchen (by the kilo), depending on your budget.

We come here to meet up with family or friends on the heights. The traveller, on the other hand, will happily stop there when he leaves Marmari or Eretrie. You have to venture a little inland, but the trip is worth it. On the terrace with a view of the bay below, you will enjoy lamb chops, kokoretsi and other grilled meats. In this traditional tavern, which has been open since 1953, the generous feta, honey and sesame pitas are also available.

Before or after the beach, here is a more traditional tavern, ideal for mixing with the local population of retired tavli players and children on holiday. On the lively and lively main square, slightly set back from the sea and shaded, you will enjoy eating a few mezzes and/or a daily special.
